Not every heart feels full around the Thanksgiving table. 🍂
For some, this weekend is filled with laughter, family and beautiful memories. For others, it may bring loneliness, grief, disappointment or reminders of a life they once dreamed of having.
And sometimes, we experience a little of both.
There can be sadness about what is missing in our lives and genuine happiness about what is present. Both can exist at the same time.
We can miss what we wish we had and still appreciate what we do have. We can carry painful memories while creating beautiful new ones.
Gratitude doesn’t ask us to pretend that everything is wonderful. It invites us to recognize the beauty that still exists, even when life looks different from what we imagined.
And to anyone spending this Thanksgiving alone, missing someone or carrying something heavy in their heart, I hope you find comfort in knowing that you are not alone.
We are more connected than we sometimes realize. Sadness, disappointment, anger, loss and dreams that slipped away are all part of the human experience. In one way or another, we have all known moments when life didn’t unfold as we had hoped.
You can feel the full weight of your sadness, your disappointments, your unfulfilled dreams, and still remain open to life’s beauty and infinite possibilities.
May you find comfort within your own heart, peace in the present moment, and the courage to never lose hope in what is yet to come.
Wishing you a peaceful and blessed Thanksgiving. 🍂❤️
