A salad to start your meal is a great way to get in some volume, vitamins, and minerals🥗⁠

When you douse your salad in dressing it can add on more calories to your meal, which can stall your weight loss attempts!⁠

When reading the label on salad dressings, try to opt for dressings that have 30 calories or less per tablespoon. ⁠

And of course, make sure you measure the dressing before adding it to your salad – it can be hard to eyeball what 1 tablespoon looks like!⁠

Polyunsaturated fats are found in:
- Vegetable oils
- Nuts and seeds

Marine sources of polyunsaturated fats are found in:
- Salmons
- Sardines
- Herring

Monounsaturated fats are found in:
- Olive oil
- Avocados

And remember to always increase your good fats and decrease your bad fats for optimal health!

What you need to know about laxatives and fiber supplements 🧐

The belief that laxatives are effective for weight control is a myth.

In fact, by the time laxatives act on the large intestine, most foods and calories have already been absorbed into the body.

Fibre supplements don't directly affect weight loss, however, some people report feeling full after taking a fibre supplement, and find that they eat fewer calories during the day because of that!

When looking for a fibre supplement, be sure to avoid any with high levels of sugar (always read the label!)
