It’s normal to experience some initial doubt after surgery due to swelling, bruising, and the healing process.
However, if you’re unhappy with your results, consider this⬇️
1️⃣ Be Patient – Healing Takes Time
Swelling and bruising can distort your final look. Most results take 3-6 months (or longer) to fully settle. Scars will fade over time, and residual swelling can take up to a year to subside.
2️⃣ Follow Post-Op Instructions.
Proper aftercare (e.g., wearing compression garments, avoiding strenuous activity) ensures optimal healing. Scar treatments, massages, and skincare can improve results.
3️⃣ Communicate with Your Surgeon
If concerns persist after the expected healing period, schedule a follow-up appointment. Dr. Bray can assess whether your results are within the normal healing process or if adjustments are needed.
4️⃣ Non-Surgical Corrections May Help
Minor concerns like asymmetry or small imperfections might be corrected with fillers, laser treatments, or scar revision instead of additional surgery.
5️⃣ Consider Revision Surgery
If the results significantly differ from your expectations, you may be eligible for a revision surgery. Most surgeons recommend waiting at least 6-12 months before considering revisions. Discuss the risks and benefits of a second procedure carefully.
