It’s National Police Week, and we’d like to take a moment to share our gratitude for the work of these vital First Responders.

At MedicAlert, we’re proud to partner with Police Services across the country with the goal of enhancing the safety and well-being of the community, especially vulnerable individuals. Nearly 40 percent of calls to MedicAlert’s Emergency Hotline are for people who wander and go missing or people in need of de-escalation support. Access to MedicAlert’s Subscriber Health Information Database provides First Responders with important personal information such as health conditions, wandering history, anxiety and mental health triggers, de-escalation techniques and caregiver contact information. This support allows for quick action and is key in safely reuniting loved ones.
