It's been five weeks (since I had to stop tattooing for my surgery) but I'm back, baby! 🎉
Tattooed Brian and his son Josh today. Both first-timers and they got a matching double headed crow to representing the love they share not just between father and son, but their favourite band The Black Crows (my spin on their logo). 🖤🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛ It's always so wonderful to see my clients happy with my work and leaving with huge smiles on their faces. On Monday I added an olive branch and a couple of bumble bees to Angelina's forearm to go with her parents' signatures we did a couple of years ago. She showed me a tablecloth with this watercolour print on it, I altered it a bit while adding the bees ...et voilà! A little something to represent her family. ❤️🙌🏼🐝🐝🌿

Single needle black line work of Victoria's astrology chart!
I always love doing tiny details but with keeping in mind what will have longevity over the years (without lines blowing up over the years). Trying to fit too much into tiny spaces WON'T last, and after 19 years in the business I have seen what tattoos look like over time. The inner forearm is one of the best places to get this kind of work. Less likely to stretch over time from muscle or weight gain, or general gravity that comes with age.

Some of you may know that I don't always post all the tattoos I do. But this one, although simple, these had so much meaning to me and my two clients. Actually, the beautiful gal on the left (Amy) is one of my besties who started off as a client of mine 15 years ago (covered in my work!)!
On the right, is her mom who I finally got to meet for the first time that day and became my eldest client to date (she said I could say that! Lol!).
They got matching tattoos (arrow with heart meaning Through Thick & Thin) and Jan got her first tattoo ever with it, which was the four contour birds repping her four grandchildren. ❤️

As an early Father's Day gift, I finally gave my hubby the tattoo he's been talking about for years. Our dog Ripley in the Power Loader from Aliens. I took her face from the first day we met her (I also tattooed that on my right hand).
Tattooed on the side of his calf in 2h15m (about 6"), just black with a few white highlights. Maybe down the road we'll do some colour highlights.

Last Friday I did a super fun piece on one of my most long-time loyal clients and incredible friend, Amy.
It's the moose from a Pearl Jam poster. Just customized the antlers and only added colour to the jacket and maple leaves.
I love doing fine details like this. ❤️

My friend Jason came in a few days ago to get a very meaningful memorial tattoo for his wife and my dear friend Jeanie, who passed last year from cancer. You may have seen me tattoo the same I Dream of Jeannie bottle from the classic TV show on a couple other friends. I plan to do the same one for myself soon. We all miss Jeanie so much.
This blow up purple dragon (the lawn ornament style) was a symbol of Jason and Jeanie's bond, how he let her be her true self. There's a bit more to the story but let's just say, Jason and Jeanie were the perfect match. 💜💜💜

The lovely Patti came back (had her first tattoo with me just before the pandemic hit) today for a tattoo she did for her grandmother. It's a cover-up as well, of a 20-something year old tattoo that was still very heavily dark and blown out. We managed to cover it up with a beautiful violet. 💜
