Lateral / medial offset receivers for foot supports.

Mounted medially, these bring the foot supports inboard. This is particularly useful for bariatric applications. They can be mounted laterally to accommodate users who sit with their legs splayed. Mounting one medially and one laterally can accommodate windswept posture.

We had a great time at the National Veterans Wheelchair Games Exhibit in New Orleans on July 25th.

Thank you to all that stopped by to check out our products. We also showed two new products that will be available in the upcoming months - the Züm (Raz's folding MSCC) with a travel kit and Raze (Raz's raise toilet seat / transfer tub bench), also with a travel kit.

We had a great training session with Senectovia, our exclusive distributor for Switzerland.

We covered the full product line and used pressure mapping to show the benefits of IPAS. We also showed how effortless the Trakz-AT lifts the user's feet over the tub wall with its 35° tilt.

Mason came to us with two issues:
1. His left foot kept sliding off the foot support because his left leg does not bend as much due to a rod in his femur.
2. The foot support tubes were causing irritation to his calves.

We were able to solve these problems by:
1. For his left foot, we provided a depth- and angle-adjustable footplate to provide better support.
2. To help keep his feet on the footplates, Neoprene Covers were supplied.
3. Neoprene tube covers were supplied to provide padding for his calves.

Raz Design Inc. President, Nelson Pang, demonstrates how back angle adjustment, tension-adjustable upholstery and IPAS can help with trunk stability and ensure that ITs are not subjected to high pressures. By adjusting the backrest angle to 97°, the trunk is in a more stable position. However, with this back angle and the client sacral sitting, the ITs can move too far forward and potentially contact the front of the aperture. By adjusting the IPAS, so that the seat is slid forward, the ITs can be positioned safely within the aperture.

Nelson also demonstrated that a side access seat can reduce pressures during self-care. Without the side access opening, the client must reach around the seat to access the perianal area. With a side access opening, the client only needs to reach around their own body. This reduces the pressures on the side of the reach.
