It has gone by many names over the years, but its overall design and purpose has remained largely unchanged: to find out how your body and mind react to a lack of external stimulation - complete rest. The deep relaxation state achieved through floa

tation allows the body to recover from stress. Additionally, pain is relieved and blood flow is stimulated through all of the tissues - natural endorphins are released which cause the brain to churn out theta waves which are associated with relaxation and meditation. Simply put, it feels REALLY good to do nothing! Float Toronto is open and available to anyone and everyone who is looking to explore the benefits of REST therapy. Sensory deprivation has been shown to provide countless mental and physical health benefits - our aim is to make floatation therapy affordable and accessible. 🚹 Whether you are new to the experience or you’re a frequent floater, we look forward to welcoming you for your next dive into the private sea. (Don’t actually dive though!)

💦 We keep spray bottles in the tanks in case you need a mid-float face rinse from getting a little salt in your eyes

👍 We recommend drying your face completely prior to entering the float tank so that you are not tempted to itch your nose or eyes during the session.

😭 Due to the high concentration of salt, it stings MUCH more than getting Ocean water in your eyes.

We’re almost 10 years in and remain dedicated to our mission of providing the best floatation experience possible for our community. Thank you for all of your support and thanks for floating with us! 🫶🙏🙌

One of the most healing places I discovered in the city was 'Float Toronto'.I had to walk by the massive CAMH complex to get to the front doors of Float Toronto on Queen St West near Dovercourt. When I walked in for the first time I said, 'If there was a float tank in every room at CAMH, the patients...

In a series of studies led by neuropsychologist Dr. Justin Feinstein, researchers monitored participants’ brain activity before and after three float sessions. They found that the amygdala, the area of the brain responsible for regulating the body’s “fight or fight” response, basically shuts down after floating — which is the same effect you’d get from popping an anti-anxiety drug like Ativan. There’s a link to Dr. Feinstein’s work in our bio (Clinical Floatation). 💧💦
