It’s the small changes like this that really add up over time! 💚

I walked by the food court and REALLY wanted Pad Thai from Thai Express, but I had already brought my own lunch that I knew the calories and protein content of.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s absolutely a time and place for fun foods! In fact, I might be getting pizza later. 🍕 The difference is that I’m learning to enjoy these foods in moderation while still making choices that support my goals.

A little reminder that you have to do what works for YOU. Sometimes, that means saying no to fast food, not because it’s bad or because you can never have it, but because you know what aligns with your goals right now.

For me, running errands doesn’t have to mean eating out every time I leave the house. If I bought food every single time I went out like I used to, I’d easily be eating out 2–4 times a week. And right now, that’s not aligned with my goals.

It’s not about restriction or never enjoying your favourite foods. It’s about being intentional with your choices, finding balance, and building habits that support the life you want. ✨

You don’t have to say yes to everything you crave to prove you’re not restricting yourself, and you don’t have to say no to everything you love to reach your goals. It’s all about finding the balance that works for you. 🫶🏼

I eat 90% whole foods and allow myself to have a small sweet treat at lunch every day. I didn’t mention this in the video, but it’s my only sweet treat of the day, and I don’t have one at dinner. This helps me stay on track!

I understand it can seem counterintuitive, but this is what works for me. I try to choose healthier sweet treat options like vegan protein yogurt, Drizzilicious, dates, dark chocolate, applesauce, or tofu pudding. But some weeks, it might look like a cake ball you saw in this video or maybe even a couple of Oreo Thins.

I track these sweets in my Cronometer app to stay on track with my calories and make them part of my calorie deficit. This is what works for me!

You need to do what works best for YOU. Everyone is different, and some people can’t handle having sweet treats. This is something I had to TEACH MYSELF to do again because, at the beginning of my weight loss journey, I would binge if I had anything sweet.

Fibre is soooo important, but there is a range for sure! Aiming between 22-40g a day is ideal! 🍏🍇🫛🥑

One of the simplest changes I’ve made to my breakfast? Adding more protein. 🥣

I used to eat breakfast and feel hungry again not long after. Since making protein a bigger part of my morning meal, I’ve noticed I feel more satisfied, fuller for longer, and more steady throughout the morning.

And no, that doesn’t mean you need a 50g protein breakfast or a giant protein shake. 😂

To me, it’s about finding easy ways to add protein to the foods you already enjoy for example tofu, soy milk, beans, protein bread, vegan yogurt, protein powder… whatever works for you!

A balanced breakfast > a “perfect” breakfast. 🫶

What’s your go-to protein at breakfast? 👇
