Adjusted our diy hay feeders so that I can now just tip them over the hay, rather than fill it from the top. This allows me to add more hay/ overfill the feeder, rather than being limited due to the bar needing to slide across to close the net. And since the feeders are on mats, It keeps the hay out of the mud meaning the feeders don't actually need the bottoms!
Work smarter, not harder! 💪

Mud mats for around the feeders are in, and more slabs placed near the gate.
The sandy loam soil here is great for keeping mud at a minimum, but these are just a few things I like to do to help even more, especially in those high traffic areas, and to keep the hay off the ground.
