I think I just found my first ever 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞 (𝑰𝒎𝒍𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒂 𝒑𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒅𝒂, prev. Boletus pallidus)! 🍄‍🟫✨

This is an edible mushroom that slowly bruises blueish-grey—or sometimes doesn't bruise at all!

It likes to form mycorrhizal associations with oak and beech. 🌳🍂

It’s been an incredible start to season with so many new species added to the list for me this year. Let’s keep the streak going! 🙌🧺🔍🍄

Red Elders in fruit🍇; Black Elders in flower 🌸

Elder, as its name suggests, is an ancient plant that is to be respected. Top remedy of old-world tradition, sacred hedge, home to the spirit of the Elder Mother who is guardian of the surrounding land. It is a tree connected to the underworld and the fairy realm.
