I had a wonderful time facilitating for black voices in musical theater - a youth workshop organized by Queen Alexis. I was the first of three workshops with 14 kids aged 8 to 14 from various places in the main in the Lower Mainland from Pitt Meadows to Lougheed in Burnaby.
They were a lively bunch, eager to learn and sing the Funga song, learn to drum the rhythm and play rhythm games - sometimes they used each other as drums , but I digress 😊
The kids had an amazing time as my session was followed up by a session of dancing and a session of improv rapping I am so grateful to Queen Alexis for arranging this amazing event!

🥁 I’m excited to be part of the 2026 Metro Vancouver Black Business Expo as a vendor!

I’m so looking forward to bringing Pulse Play Circles to this wonderful celebration of Black-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, creativity, and community.

Through rhythm, percussion, voice, movement, and collaborative play, I create experiences that help people connect, express themselves, have fun, and feel a greater sense of wellbeing. My sessions are designed for a wide range of groups — from corporate teams and students to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and diverse community groups.

At Pulse Play Circles, I offer team-building rhythm circles, circle singing and vocal improv, laughter yoga, body percussion workshops, and one-on-one rhythm meditation. Every session is an opportunity to listen, participate, laugh, create, and connect through the power of rhythm.
