I had a realization in the shower this morning that I think I treat almost every day like an opportunity to catch up on my entire life.
If I clean, I should DEEP clean the house.
If I work out, I should do every movement known to man.
If I do laundry, I should fold it AND put it away? Ew.
If I meal prep, I should make enough food that I could live like a college student, reheating leftovers on a forbidden hot plate.
If I work on my business… well, there are approximately 847 things I should probably be doing. 😂
And the craziest part is, even on a productive day, I’m left feeling like I didn’t get enough done, I’ll run out of time, and the world will end in a FIERY BALL OF FIRE!
So I’m trying something different:
Only 1 today.
Clean one room.
Do one upper-body exercise.
Prep one thing.
Wash one load.
Do one meaningful thing for my business. This is it btw 😉
And then — this is probably the important part —
let it count.
Because I’m curious what happens when I stop measuring a good day by how much of my life I managed to catch up on.
Maybe the goal isn’t to finally get everything done.
Maybe it’s to build a life that doesn’t constantly feel like I’m behind.
There will always be more to do.
Not everything.
Not today.
