Hiii hii howβs your Sunday going? β
οΈ I realized it wasnβt a good day for work this morning because I woke up drained but decided to make myself do work anyways which ended up in Carla feeling absolutely overwhelmed and annoyed so us girls went on a rainy 2 hour adventure in the woods with some music and got muddy πΎπΎ and then came and made some chickpea curry so weβre feeling about 68% better! π π

I think that I realized I am absolutely loving this βout of screen time for the dayβ feature on my phone (even if sometimes I just move to Netflix when Iβm out of screen time) because itβs probably been the only thing in the past many (many) years that has forced me to shut off my email and calendar (and whatever else I decide I need to be doing until midnight) at a certain time, you know? π Normally I would set a time limit for myself βno email after 10pm Carlaβ but Iβm basically queen of ignoring people and no rules so I would never listen to my screen time rule, and then Iβd be exhausted and cycle would repeat, but something about your phone telling you lights out is so comforting, or what? π donβt get me wrong, I also love that I can ignore it in the case I βneed to finish an email or put something in my calenderβ as if my life depended on it, but I do appreciate the reminder to shut off the email π

I found that for the past month or so, I was not extremely motivated to try new recipes and my motivation for creativity seemed minimal, but with my work boundaries starting to come into play, I might be feeling more calm and excited to try new things. ππ§I want to try to cook different recipes from around the world. Something about cultural dishes and food from our roots (like weβre all baby trees) π² makes me happy. Happy exploring for you tonight!! Whether itβs in the rain or in the kitchen βοΈ π²
