Grab your holiday lists: the Passions silent auction is live!

A Botanist tasting menu for two or a night at Rosewood Hotel Georgia would make a lovely gift (or ... gift to self). You’ll also find a cocktail-making experience for two at good thief and a Skoah facial, with dozens and dozens more to browse.

It's easy to bid right away, and bid from home, so there’s no need to wait until gala night to take part. Funds raised support the meals we serve every day through the Dr. Peter Centre’s Food & Nutrition Program.

Take a tour of Vancouver neighbourhoods with five more restaurants joining us for Passions 2026.

In Chinatown, Chef Ricardo Valverde brings the flavours of coastal Peru to UCHU. Fraserhood’s Bar Bravo puts seafood at the centre of a menu that changes with the seasons. On Yaletown’s waterfront, Provence Marinaside brings a taste of the South of France to the West Coast. Over in Hastings-Sunrise, Dachi serves seasonal dishes made for sharing. And on Main Street, Chef Meeru Dhalwala’s Lila offers a fresh take on Indian cooking.

Meet the first five restaurants joining us for Passions 2026.

Chef Chanthy Yen brings his Cambodian-Canadian heritage to Touk’s seasonal sharing dishes, bright with herbs and aromatics. Michelin-starred iDen & Quanjude are known for their signature Beijing duck, prepared using the hanging-oven technique at the heart of a tradition dating back to 1864. At Sushi Hil, Chef Hilary Nguy draws on more than 20 years of experience and puts exceptional ingredients first. Family-owned Anh and Chi reimagines Vietnamese favourites and dishes from their family table. At The Acorn, vegetables take the lead in inventive, locally rooted cooking, with a zero-waste approach.

Remember Passions 2025?

This evening to remember brought over 200 of you together with 26 of Vancouver's best restaurants and bars, and we're still talking about it. Chef Andrea Carlson of Burdock & Co, Chef Gus Stieffenhofer-Brandson of Published on Main, Chef Chanthy Yen of Touk and Chef Allen Ren of iDen & Quan Ju De Beijing Duck House ran the VIP hour, while Anh and Chi, L'Abattoir, Chambar, F***y Bay Oyster Bar, Lila and plenty more kept the magic coming all night. 🍽️

Last year we raised more than $200,000 for our Food and Nutrition Program, which means more nourishing meals for those who've had doors closed to them elsewhere.

Passions is back for its 23rd year on Wednesday, November 25 at Performance Works on Granville Island. Tickets always go fast, so grab yours now: https://can.givergy.com/Passions2026/🎟️

Over 200 people joined us in Vancouver’s West End on Sunday for a day of drumming, dancing, laughter, and connection.

The Dr. Peter Centre was proud to host an All Nations Pow Wow, bringing together dancers from every generation and their families. DPC staff and participants, neighbours, and passersby were all welcomed to join in the celebration; a joyful reminder of the importance of community.

Many people shared the hope that this would become an annual tradition. We hope so too. 🧡

Thank you to the organizers, dancers, drummers, families, volunteers, and everyone who helped make the day so meaningful. Special thanks to Host Drum Love Medicine, MC Wesley King, and Anita Bonnarens for capturing the day.

“The pow wow is very important; it brings community out, and they get to know who we are. We’re not just about drugs, we’re about living, and wellness, and getting people back on track. [This pow wow] lightened me. It made me cry because we were acknowledged.” — Anne, DPC participant

We want to take a moment to say thank you. This weekend left us with such a warm feeling in our heart. Some familiar faces and some new ones took on the challenge of helping us raise our goal of $1 million this year...and surpassed it!

Together, we raised a total of $1,039,000 to go towards our Day Health program. Lives will be changed thanks to the generosity of our community. Thank you.

We have a lot of thank yous to get through, and the first one has to go out to our presenting sponsor, RBC PH&N Investment Counsel. RBC was the Dr. Peter Centre’s first corporate sponsor, and they continue to give back to the Centre in so many ways. This event would not have happened without their support.

Our dedicated committee is an essential part of this event and the reason we reached this monumental goal. Thank you to Katherine Evans, Aerin Knight, Mike Sider, Sarah Evans, and Thomas O’Shaughnessy for generously sharing their time, expertise, energy, and heart.

Thank you to TG Jewellers! Their donation of a diamond tennis bracelet was a huge hit as our raffle prize.

Thank you to CBC Vancouver’s Gloria Macarenko and Fred Lee who were an unstoppable emcee and auctioneer duo. Their energy is a huge part of what makes this event so special.

Thank you to Phantom Creek Estates and SAICHO | Sparkling Tea for their donation of delicious drinks to keep us hydrated.

This event is a labour of love and we are so thankful to the volunteers who made it possible.

Some much-needed final thank yous:
