I just learned an idea that completely stopped me in my tracks:
The body represents the feminine.
The mind represents the masculine.
And the way the mind relates to the body can mirror what we learned about how the masculine relates to the feminine.
And suddenly, I started thinking about my work completely differently.
As a yoga therapist, so much of what I teach is about the quality of our relationship with the body.
Do you force her?
Criticize her?
Ignore her signals?
Demand that she perform?
Or do you listen to her?
Do you notice when she’s tired?
Feed her when she needs nourishment?
Let her rest without making her earn it?
Move her with gentleness?
Trust what she tells you?
And I had this realization:
Every time we learn to treat the body with greater tenderness, we are practicing a different relationship with the feminine.
Maybe this work is bigger than I realized.
Maybe tending to our own bodies with reverence is one tiny way we begin changing how the feminine is treated at all.
🌙 This is exactly the kind of work we explore in my New Moon & Full Moon Sisters’ Circles.
We gather with the cycles of the moon to slow down, listen inward, reconnect with the body, and create space for reflection, yoga therapy, and sisterhood.
If something in this video landed in your body before your mind could explain why, come join us.
