TB Vets Help bring respiratory equipment to BC's medical frontline: tbvets.org/donate

Founded as an initiative to provide employment to WWII veterans suffering from tuberculosis, TB Vets has grown over the following decades into what it is today: a leading charitable foundation funding respiratory equipment, research and education in British Columbia and beyond. Every year TB Vets funds approximately 20 ventilators, provides bursaries to respiratory therapy students, contributes to lung research, and continues to support isolated TB patients at Vancouver General Hospital’s TB Ward.

When baby Kayra was born at just 23 weeks, she weighed only 532 grams. Facing a life-threatening infection and seven surgeries, specialized respiratory equipment at BC Women’s Hospital NICU gave her medical team the tools they needed to fight for her life.

“When we arrived at BC Women’s, we knew we were in the best place we could be.” — Ritu, Kayra’s mother
Your TB Vets Key Tag does so much more than protect lost keys—it puts critical, lifesaving respiratory equipment directly into hospitals across British Columbia when every breath counts.
Today, another family is holding on to hope. Help give tiny patients the chance to breathe by renewing your Key Tag.

Today is World Mental Health Day. On this day, we recognize that true respiratory health—and true overall health—is as much about the mind as it is about the body. 🫁💬

At TB Vets, we witness daily how critical illness impacts patients beyond physical recovery. Living with a respiratory condition can affect anxiety levels, sleep, and mental well-being. That’s why we support holistic recovery models.

Today, we encourage you to pause, check on a loved one, and prioritize your own mental wellness.
