I grew up as a worrier. From my earliest memories, I worried about everything.

I was under the assumption that if I worried on your behalf, I’d take some of your worry off of you.

It was easily into my forties before it really sunk in: I’m not taking any of your worry away. I’m just adding to mine.

The same goes for pain and suffering. If I try to pull your suffering away from you, I’m not lessening yours. I’m getting in your way, and adding to mine.

That understanding helps me be very neutral in my work.

When someone is on my table, I’m helping their body come back to health. I let their system lead and I follow, creating a safe, neutral container for them to be themselves, without feeling judged, or like they’re coming with too much or too little.

I’ve started an osteopathic program, and I’m loving being a beginner again.

I’ve felt like I’ve known what I’ve been doing in my work for a long, long time. So being out of my comfort zone, thinking “I’m not sure what I’m doing here,” is exciting. And it’s fun.

I’ve started bringing some new techniques I feel comfortable with into my sessions. When I’m working with ligaments, tissue or bone when appropriate I’ll use a bit of a deeper touch than I would in cranio.

I’m so excited to keep learning, and to see where this takes my work. 🧡

With the subtle bodywork modalities, it really is like learning a new language.

If we’re new to the work, we don’t necessarily know what subtle pulls or restrictions or tension patterns mean, because we haven’t really learnt the language yet.

At first it’s like, well, was that something? Was that nothing? It’s so easy with subtle modalities to get in our head about it and doubt, because it is really subtle at first.

The more that we work, the louder the subtle sensations become. Or maybe we’re just tuning into that radio station.

I feel I can do better work now that I can speak that language.

Biosomatic Craniosacral Level 3: Trauma Imprint Repair
October 9–12 · Vancouver, BC

When old trauma surfaces in a session (a pattern, an emotion, something the body has been holding), do you know how to meet it?

That’s what Level 3 is for.

Over four days, you’ll learn Trauma Imprint Repair: how to dialogue with the body and work with emotional trauma, limiting beliefs and birth imprints, alongside inner child work and guided somatic experiences.

You’ll leave with practical tools, and a lot more confidence when big things come up on the table.

Sometimes if I have a tissue handy, I’ll wipe their tears after a few minutes. Sometimes I’ll wipe their ears with the blanket.

I’m acknowledging you’re crying, but I’m not needing you to do anything with that. You don’t have to shut it down because of me. You don’t have to amp it up because of me. You don’t have to explain.

It’s really common for a person on the table to apologize for their tears. So I will just reassure them and say there’s no need for apology.

And I’ll just be quiet, and let it be 🌊

The Enlightened Bodyworker is a three-month training for practitioners who already have the technical skill and want to know what to do when a session goes deeper than technique can reach.

Over six live sessions, you’ll move through real, specific themes: the beliefs that quietly shape how you show up in a session, how trauma actually surfaces in the body, and learning when to follow, when to wait, and when to simply stop.

You’ll practice Trauma Imprint Repair one-on-one with a peer between sessions, not just learn it in theory. You’ll also keep access to everything, sessions, tools, the community, for a full year after.

Six live sessions, starting October 21st. $799 CAD. Spaces are limited, and enrollment closes October 17th.
