We are back with our Living Despite Meetings...these are monthly meetings for those who are suffering with chronic health conditions or chronic pain.
Our next meeting will be TOMORROW Wednesday September 23rd from 1:00-2:30 at the Vernon Public Library. We will be having 2 speakers this month, Sheri Kunzil and Jeunesse Pearson
Sheri Kunzli is an integrative and intuitive coach, visual artist, Mesa carrier, and medicine woman, and the founder of Aligned Elements Studio.
Sheri brings a deeply personal perspective to living with chronic pain and chronic health challenges. Following multiple car accidents and years of allowing pain to dictate her life, Sheri began exploring different approaches to healing and wellbeing, including the nervous system, mind-body connection, energy work, and practices from her training in Peruvian and cross cultural shamanism.
While she continues to experience pain every day, she has learned ways to manage it, participate more fully in life, and find joy despite it.
Sheri is not a medical professional; she shares from lived experience and believes there is no one right fix—only the journey of finding what helps each of us live more fully.
We will also be hearing Jeunesse Pearson speaking to us about What We Carry...this will be her talk for the upcoming TedX Kalamalka
It’s really about identity — how we can mistake the roles we play, the things we achieve, and even the ways we’ve learned to adapt for who we actually are.
Her own experience of having an illness striped away a lot of those
roles forced me to ask, “Who am I if I can’t be who I thought I was?”
Ultimately it’s about separating our worth from what we do, and the idea that becoming ourselves might actually be less about self-improvement and more about remembering who we were underneath all of it.
You will get TWO fantastic speakers in one meeting
If you are unable to attend and would like to participate through zoom we ask that you register for the zoom link by sending an email to [email protected] and I will make sure that you get the link
We hope to see you there!
