Soaking up all the island gems before we leave Victoria this week 🥺

Life has been a whirlwind since we arrived on the island only a few months ago, and sadly Victoria wasn’t the end goal for Team Invicta.

Goose and I are off to Whistler in the short term before we’re back to good old England once again 🙌🏻

With the start of the World Cup season around the corner and the Olympics in February, I can’t WAIT to see what this girl does!

I had the most amazing opportunity to work with Britt during the 2019-2020 Ski Cross WC season, and she is truly epic.

Hey there! 👋

As some unfortunate postal delivery issues delayed our big opening today, I thought I would take the time to introduce myself to Victoria!

My name is Baye, and I just moved here from the UK, where I was living and working for the last 6 years (I only have a slight accent!). I’m a keen rower, cyclist, skier, and an all-around activity lover. Most of my best adventures include my 🐶 wingman, Goose. As my favourite thing is to be active and move freely, I enjoy helping everyone get back to thoughtless, fearless movement.

I've been treating patients for 4 years now, and have trained alongside some of the best osteopathic practitioners in the world. I treat all sorts of pains and issues, almost anything you can think of. I use a variety of techniques from super gentle and subtle, to a bit more no-pain-no-gain. Whatever suits the issue and patient the best!

That’s all folks ✌🏼 Just finished my last day working in the UK.

I can’t believe how fast the last 6 years have gone by, and how epic this osteopathic adventure has been so far!

Biggest thank you to all the absolute gems I’ve had the opportunity to train with, work with, and learn from. You’re all rock stars in my book!

Osteopathy can be interesting sometimes: when you help a patient through an injury or relieve them of pain, they can quickly start to confide in you and tell you about the other things they have going on in their lives. It’s awesome to be so trusted, but it can also add an extra burden on your shoulders.

My last patient tonight unloaded what he’s been going through the last few days; some jaw-dropping sh*t I’d only expect from movies. It took every professional effort not to shout out ‘what the f*ck?!’ When we finished treatment, I burst into tears, but thankfully I have an amazing support network, both at work and outside of work, to talk it through and help share the load (plus this cuddly guy who always helps me decompress from heavy work days).

Long story short, whatever profession you work in, surround yourself with epic people who help you through the sh*tty days and make sure you don’t carry too much on your shoulders.

Working hard to go above just the basics of not killing my patients 😂

With the UK in Lockdown 3.0, things are a bit quieter than usual, so I’m taking this opportunity to nerd out and keep learning.

Just started an epic course with England Rugby’s to help improve my ability to tackle those tricky pain cases, to better ensure that pain goes away and stays away, and to get my patients back to their better lives or back to their sports as quickly as possible. Stoked to start putting this stuff into practice 🤘🏼

I’m also going back to the basics and improving my biomechanics with , which has been awesome in further delving in to how the body must work together as one smooth running system 💯
