One of the things I have found to be most supportive in my own grieving process is the ritual honouring of my grief through remembrance; giving my love somewhere to go, moving it through water or smoke... what is it I would say if they were here? I let my heart say it now, surrounded by the protective embrace of Rosemary.

New to the shop 🙀💚

It's a dream come true... we now carry a small number of spagyric tinctures made by way of 𝘰𝘳𝘢 𝘦𝘵 𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘢 thanks to Maureen (Mo) Judith of 🧪✨

Mo is a herbalist & laboratory alchemist deeply devoted to her craft. The herbs in these tinctures undergo 7 stages... including distillation, fermentation, + calcination which allow for the whole herb to come through in the extraction process, with nothing wasted. This is especially important for herbs with a higher mineral content, such as Raspberry leaf which contains more iron.

Because of their potency, these tinctures also have a much narrower dosage range, with guidelines such as 1-4drops up to 4x a day.

So many great workshops and life-giving conversations... feeling big gratitude for the + their incredible first aid set-up... stoked I got to meet Mo of and hear them wax passionate about plant alchemy... still slightly stunned we get to carry her deliciously potent spagyric tinctures in the shop here... more on those tomorrow 😻🧪✨

We offer masks free of charge because we seek to value & protect life.

Because we yearn for a community that prioritizes those more vulnerable among us.

If you haven't been masking in other spaces or were masking earlier on but then stopped- it's ok! We're just looking to do better than we did yesterday and imperfection is better than inaction.

Let's take these little steps together today to protect, support, and show much we care about our immunocompromised kin.

There are so many layers as to why we low-key beg for your support with this... despite knowing it has thus far been followed with a drop in sales for us... despite so many other small biz & healthcare settings that have returned to "business as usual" and deemed the pandemic as "over". We are a very very tiny biz, run by one tired herbalist with no one to cover if I am sick for more than a day (though my mom does help out and I'm eternally grateful) but if I got long Covid- that's it folks!!

We are also now sharing space with and every week they are seeing cancellations due to Covid or are treating folks debilitated by long Covid. Please reject the myth that this is not our reality... and know that many of the other staff in our shared space are also immunocompromised 🫶

Can you feel the next season leaning in? It's almost back-to-school time and we're bringing in more books to help you lean into learning...

Inspired by 's reading lists as well as my own yearning for learning, we've got some new extra special titles in!

We've got the go-to texts such as Medical Herbalism and Healing With Whole Foods. Personally I'm looking forward to diving into Chanchal Cabrera's Holistic Cancer Care which I've heard some very good things about! Then there's the classic Medicinal Herbs: A Beginner's Guide from Rosemary Gladstar. Because I know you just want a place to start...

We've got 's juicy Who Is Wellness For? and 's No Right Way To Meditate and 's Falling Back In Love With Being Human, all of which were, along with Layla Feghali's The Land In Our Bones and Shō Yamagushiku's Shima, some of the best medicine I took in this past year. (Along with that community acu & the plants themselves of course 🥰)

I think I'm most looking forward to reading Leah Pennimen's Black Earth Wisdom though. I wanted to get in Farming While Black, but apparently I need a different distributor for that! Either way I've long been inspired by all that's been growing at and encourage you to check out/follow/support their healing work. Recently they've been experiencing some hate too, and will likely have to relocate, so please redistribute what you can $. We all want to live in a soul fire world ❤️‍🔥

Anyway, lots to say about all of these titles, but for now- come take a look! Pick out a new book! Our windows are getting repaired as I write this and the light is already spilling in...

We'll be transitioning to carrying less hydrosols / floral waters, so if there's any you've been eyein come get 'em before they're gone!

We're making this change as we'll be focusing on those we can source directly from farms and medicine makers, and so as to continue to move toward a boycott of the larger distributors. If you'd like to know more about this boycott, feel free to come chat with me in person:)

Small batch, handmade glycerites from are here 🌸💧🥰

Made in a base of organic vegetable glycerine, glycerites are sweet alcohol-free extracts of herbs that are especially suited to flower medicines. Alexis of Wild Water Botanicals has dropped off only a handful of each of these special summer offerings~ Hawthorn, Rose, & Lilac.

We also still have 1 or 2 glycerites left from ~ Peppermint & Elderflower 🌿

Hawthorn & Rose are wonderful for increasing capacity to sense, interpret, process, + communicate with/from one's heart and are especially invaluable in cases of grief, whether on a personal or collective level.

Lilac has been used to treat fevers, coughs, & upset stomachs and can also help us nurture our capacity for love, as well as drive away ghosts. It can also add a sweet floral note to any drinks or dishes you prepare. I love a little Lilac glycerite with a squeeze of lemon and some club soda (thanks for the hot tip Marae! 🍹💕)

Peppermint is an exquisitely delicous way to cool down in these hot summer months and is a wonderful dogestive aid, with calming properties for frayed over-stimulated nervous systems.
