Build Holistic Nutrition Our biology and metabolism really do change as we get older.

Understanding and directly addressing the root factors behind those changes is how we preserve muscle, support metabolism, stabilize weight, and feel our best - despite our changing hormones.

Here's a sneak peek at one of our daily levers inside the RxGRIT app -

Keep a running list of breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks you actually enjoy. When 5pm rolls around, or when meal-planning day and your mind goes blank, pick from that list instead of searching for inspiration from scratch.

Less decision fatigue. Less food boredom. More follow-through. 👊

And THIS is exactly what RxGRIT is all about!

It's not about giving you another list of things you should be doing. It's about helping you turn nutrition knowledge into practical, everyday action with simple tips and tools that make doing all.the.things. a little more manageable.

And because we gamify those daily actions with Grit Points, streaks and leaderboards, building better habits becomes a whole lot more fun. 🎮🏆

💥 Less overthinking. More action. More consistency. Better results.

That's the RxGRIT way.

One of the biggest myths I hear?
"Welcome to menopause...this is just how it is now."

No.
While hormone changes are real, suffering through them isn't your only option.

At BUILD Nutrition, we focus on the things you can influence:

✔ Blood sugar regulation
✔ Insulin efficiency
✔ Muscle maintenance
✔ Protein intake
✔ Strength training
✔ Stress resilience
✔ Recovery
✔ Sleep
✔ Metabolic health

Small, strategic changes often make a much bigger difference than trying to eat less and exercise more.

Your body isn't working against you.
It's asking for a different game plan.

I used to call it balance when I would deprive myself all week and then let loose on the weekend. Wow... I messed up my body and mind A LOT A LOT.

Funny thing about NOT depriving yourself and instead just eating for your body's energy needs -

- you're not starving by dinner time
- you're not mad crazy with cravings by Friday
- you have good energy, even after 7pm
- you actually lose weight and feel good

Give it a try, what have you got to lose?

Menopause is a biological transition — not a motivation problem.

As estrogen declines, it changes the way your body regulates insulin, stores fat, responds to stress, preserves muscle, and uses energy.

If you don't understand those changes, it's easy to keep blaming yourself for your 'lack of discipline' or your cravings... especially when even doctors tell you it's all 'normal'.

That's why my coaching has always been about looking deeper. Not just at what is happening—but why it's happening.

Because when you understand your menopausal biology - insulin, thyroid, metabolism - you stop guessing.
You stop blaming yourself.

And you start making choices that actually support the biology you're living with today.

💛 Understanding your menopausal biology is the first step to changing the outcome.

39 adults were split into 3 groups. While all groups were on a diet and fitness regimen, the first was fed the recommended Regular Daily Amount (RDA) of protein, set at 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of bodyweight.

The second and third groups were fed 2x RDA amounts (1.6g/kg) and 3x RDA amounts (2.4g/kg), respectively.

Those in this study eating the greater-than-RDA amounts of protein lost the most fat mass and maintained the most muscle mass.

September 2013 study published in The FASEB Journal by Dr. Stefan M. Pasiakos and colleagues.

For years, I thought my job as a nutrition coach was to help people eat better.

Then I realized my real job is helping people understand why their body is responding the way it is.

Because your body isn't random.

Weight gain has a reason.
Low energy has a reason.
Cravings have a reason.
Digestive issues have a reason.
Poor recovery has a reason.

Those reasons aren't always obvious — but they're almost always worth investigating.

That's why I don't believe in handing every woman the same meal plan or telling her to "eat less and exercise more."
I believe in understanding the biology first.

When you know what's driving your symptoms, you stop guessing. You stop blaming yourself. And you can finally choose strategies that are designed for your body.

💛 Understanding your biology is the first step to changing your outcome.
