Shoulder pain when reaching overhead, lifting at the gym, or reaching behind you? Your rotator cuff could be involved. 💪
Rotator cuff tendinopathy occurs when one or more of the tendons that help stabilize and move your shoulder become irritated or undergo changes over time. It’s commonly associated with repetitive overhead activity, sudden increases in activity, heavy lifting, poor posture, or age-related tendon changes.
The good news? ✨You don’t necessarily have to stop using your shoulder completely.
Chiropractic care can help by:
• Assessing your shoulder to determine what may be contributing to your pain
• Using manual therapy to improve shoulder and surrounding joint mobility
• Addressing contributing areas such as the neck, upper back, and shoulder complex
• Providing individualized strengthening and mobility exercises to gradually increase your shoulder’s capacity
• Helping you modify aggravating activities while you recover
The goal isn’t just to temporarily reduce pain but to help your shoulder tolerate the activities you want to get back to!
