Last year during this challenge, I meditated fairly consistently, got more fresh air, cleaned out my car, found a dentist (and have since had semi-annual cleanings), and had a conversation that I thought about for months prior but never sat down to take ownership of (yes thatβs my own feedback on slide 6, and yes it felt sooo relieving to close the loop by actually taking 10 mins to do it).
Well-being is not just external self-care and pampering. It is deep work, and yet happens amongst our everyday. It is boring, and yet fulfilling. It is simple, and yet challenging. The foundation of our well-being can be improved through blanket recommendations, and yet the ex*****on and feeling of fulfillment is deeply personal.
Last year during this challenge, we talked about saboteurs/inner critics. I recently reread the emails from last year, helping me acknowledge that my inner critic was once again getting pretty loud this past September. It was important to notice so I could rewrite my inner dialogue.
We are ever-evolving, and yet we have patterns that are worth paying attention to. Sometimes we just need an opportunity to tune back in.
