Giving back to the community we call home! 💜

This October, Common Good Pharmacy Summerland was proud to support the next generation by donating $750 to the Summerland Secondary School basketball tournament and $500 to Dry Grad!

We believe a pharmacy should be more than a place to pick up prescriptions. It should be a place that cares for its community, gives back where it matters, and helps our community flourish.

That’s why $1 from every prescription filled goes back to the flourishing of our community. Because when our community thrives, we all thrive!

The Service Berry

The Saskatoon Berry also known as the Service Berry or Salmon Berry represents the generosity of the earth, a gift shared that when received with gratitude generates so much life.
The Cedar Waxwing and Swainson’s Thrush are both local Okanagan birds known for their love of Saskatoons. The Waxwing is also known for passing the berries from beak to beak with other Waxwings.
Here it passes a berry to the little boy on his dad’s shoulders.
The other bird is the Swainson’s Thrush or Salmonberry Bird. A bird known for their beautiful song. As these birds enjoy the berries they share their song and help spread the seeds, giving back more than they take.
Dad takes his young son into the woods to not harvest the berries but to point out the birds, to see the generosity in the earth, to be grateful for it all, and play a part in giving back. These berries represent how reciprocal generosity nurtures thriving. We just need to take the time to see it and respond to the gift of it all.
When we see the place and people around us as a gift we treat them differently. We become answerable to them.
Real health is harmony with the world.

Our new gallery wall has arrived at Common Good Pharmacy in West Kelowna!

We wanted to create something that tells the story of who we are, why we’re here, and what we’re working toward. Our new gallery wall does just that! 💜

Common Good Pharmacy is proud to contribute $1,000 as a Presenting Sponsor for the upcoming Okanagan Interclub Competition, hosted by the Mt. Boucherie Skating Club! 💜

This event takes place on November 27–29, 2026 at Royal LePage Place and Jim Lind Arena in West Kelowna. This exciting weekend event will bring together skaters, coaches, officials, and families from across the Okanagan for a celebration of competition, dedication, and community.

Our sponsorship goes towards printing, awards and skater gifts, equipment, and event supplies. We are proud to support young athletes on the ice in our community. 💜

At Common Good Pharmacy, we believe that strong communities are built when everyone has the opportunity to belong, participate, and thrive.

That’s why we were honoured to donate $13,500 to the Okanagan Junior Thunder Wheelchair Basketball Club this past June, a contribution that will help support their 2026–2027 program expenses and continue creating team sport opportunities for everyone.

The Okanagan Junior Thunder is helping build a community without barriers by making sport accessible and promoting inclusion, respect, and the belief that we are stronger together, because accessibility isn’t a feature it’s the foundation.

We are grateful to support organizations that create spaces where every individual can experience connection, teamwork, and belonging.

💜 Giving back starts before our doors even open! 💜

Our newest Common Good Pharmacy location in Lake Country isn’t open just yet, but we’re already finding ways to support and celebrate the community we’re so excited to become a part of!

This past weekend, on September 19th, Common Good Pharmacy Lake Country was proud to be a Rest Stop Sponsor for The Grand Parade in support of Lake Country Health, donating $1,000 to support this wonderful event. Lake Country Health is a registered charity serving the beautiful community of Lake Country, British Columbia, dedicated to improving the health and well-being of people of all ages through accessible programs, education, and community support.💜

At Common Good Pharmacy, we believe pharmacy care should be about more than prescriptions.
