Britt’s journey in Whistler began in 2015 as an RMT. Since then, her career has evolved from massage therapy into practicing orthopedic acupuncture and founding Mend Health Co., our integrative health clinic offering both acupuncture and massage therapy in Function Junction.

Hear more as Britt shares her approach to orthopedic acupuncture, how it differs from traditional acupuncture, and how she draws from both approaches to provide individualized treatment for her patients.

Not all acupuncture treatments are the same. Britt Leeworthy, R.Ac and Founder of Mend Health Co., specializes in Orthopedic Acupuncture — bringing together traditional acupuncture with modern anatomy, neuroscience and functional movement principles to help your body move and feel its best.

Her treatments are guided by hands-on assessment and movement evaluation to understand how your body is functioning as a whole — what’s working well, where you may be compensating and what should guide your treatment plan.

From there, Britt draws on traditional acupuncture, dry needling, motor point activation, electroacupuncture and functional movement re-education to build a strategy specific to you and what you’re working toward.

We’re grateful to have clients travelling from across the Sea to Sky specifically to see Britt for this approach. 🤍

Feeling burnt out after a summer filled with socializing, back-to-back work shifts, and squeezing in as much exercise and adventuring as the Sea to Sky has to offer?

Chances are, your body could use some self-care.

Long work days, inconsistent sleep, busy weekends and a high level of physical activity can add up. You might notice it as tight muscles, lingering aches, feeling run down, or simply not recovering as well between work, workouts and days outside.

If this sounds familiar, acupuncture and RMT can help your body reset and recover.

Did you know you can book both back-to-back at Mend? We recommend booking acupuncture first to help reset and settle your system, followed by RMT for the best results.

Give us a call at (778) 770-5008, and we’ll help coordinate both appointments.

Let’s get you heading into fall feeling better, moving better, and ready for another season.

Did you know the tension you feel in your hands and forearms after a season of riding may not be just about your grip?

On the trails and in the bike park, your upper back, neck and shoulders are constantly working to stabilize your riding position and control the bike, while your forearms, wrists and hands manage gripping, braking and repeated forces through the handlebars. Over time, fatigue and tension can build throughout this whole upper-body chain.

That’s why when we’re treating tired forearms, wrists or hands, we also look at what’s happening through the upper back, neck and shoulders. Unaddressed weakness or poor control through the shoulder girdle can contribute to ongoing overload through the forearms. This means the painful area may keep getting treated without addressing part of what’s driving it.

At Mend, we look beyond where it hurts to understand what may be keeping the problem around.

If you’ve been riding all summer, now is a great time to address what’s been building up — so you can make the most of the rest of bike season and head into winter feeling strong and ready.

Bike crashes leaving debilitating injuries, chronic neck and back pain, nerve damage… these are just a few of the stories from patients we treat every day at Mend Health Co.

Helping Whistlerites recover from injury, improve performance, regulate their nervous systems, and ultimately live their healthiest, most active, pain-free lives is at the core of what we do at Mend Health Co.

Thank you to our patients for the positive feedback. We're so grateful to hear the positive impact acupuncture has had on your lives, and we hope your message will inspire others to try it for themselves.

📚 Always Learning. Always Improving.

Last weekend, Krysten DeFlorenca RMT completed an intensive 30-hour advanced training in Osteopathy & Axial Skeleton Normalization.

What does that mean for you?

It means she's expanded her skills in assessing and treating the spine and trunk, learning advanced hands-on techniques to better understand how the body's structure influences movement, function, and pain.

At Mend, we believe continuing education is one of the best investments we can make in our patients. The more we learn, the better we can tailor treatment to your individual needs and help you move and feel your best.

We're excited to have Krysten back in the clinic with new knowledge, fresh techniques, and even more tools to support your recovery. 🙌
