🌱 Open to all healthcare providers!
We are thrilled to announce that we have paired up with the Manitoba Physiotherapy Association to launch a 1-Day Pelvic Health Course for the external health care provider on Sunday, February 21st, 2027!
The course is titled ‘Orthopedic Physiotherapy Across the Female Lifespan: Integrating Pelvic Health into Musculoskeletal Practice’ and we would love to share the registration details with you!
Women’s and pelvic health concerns rarely walk into an orthopedic clinic labeled as such. Instead, they present as hip pain in adolescent athletes, recurrent low back pain with cyclical symptom patterns in early adulthood, sacroiliac dysfunction prenatally or postpartum, stress incontinence or pelvic heaviness during return to sport, or persistent tendon pain through the menopausal transition.
Growing evidence demonstrates that hormonal fluctuations, connective tissue adaptation, pelvic floor function, and sex-specific differences in load tolerance influence musculoskeletal presentation across the female lifespan. Yet these considerations are often under-integrated into traditional orthopedic models of care.
This course is designed specifically for health care providers who do not perform internal pelvic examinations but wish to confidently integrate women’s and pelvic health considerations into everyday practice.
Using a lifespan framework — from puberty and athletic development, through pregnancy and postpartum recovery, and into perimenopause and menopause — participants will examine the hormonal, biomechanical, and connective tissue factors that uniquely shape musculoskeletal health in women.
We CANNOT wait to see you there!
