Freeing up space at home can do a world of good across the country. When you donate an unwanted car, truck, van, SUV, or motorcycle through Donate a Car Canada, you can choose to have the proceeds directly support our national advocacy efforts.

The process is completely free, complimentary towing is included, and you’ll receive a tax receipt. Every vehicle donated helps CHPCA drive meaningful policy change and support families when they need it most.

Only 14% of people who need palliative care around the world get it. In lower-income countries, it's just 4.4%.

Our Executive Director, Stephen Connor, sat down with IAHPC to talk about the new Global Atlas of Palliative Care. He explains why specialist services alone will never close this gap, and why training primary care workers is the way forward.

He also covers the 10.6 million children who need palliative care, and why they are still less likely than adults to receive it.

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION EVENT

Last wednesday night, we were delighted to gather at Thomson in the Park Funeral Home to celebrate our incredible volunteers. Thank you to everyone who attended and to all of our volunteers who make the work of Palliative Manitoba possible.
Your compassion, dedication, and generosity bring comfort, connection, and support to individuals and families facing some of life's most difficult journeys. Whether through companionship, grief support, programs, events, or countless acts of kindness behind the scenes, your impact is felt every day. Your presence helps people feel seen, heard, and cared for, and we are deeply grateful for all that you do.

We were also pleased to recognize Irvine Hildebrand and Ken Woods as they retire from their volunteer roles after many years of dedicated service. Thank you both for your remarkable contributions and lasting impact on our organization.

A special thank you to our sponsors, including Red River Co-op, whose generous support helped make the evening possible, and to Thomson in the Park Funeral Home for graciously hosting us.

From all of us at Palliative Manitoba, thank you for your commitment, kindness, and service to our community. We are honoured to work alongside you.
