MHC joined with many others on the Legislative grounds this weekend in solidarity and opposition to Bills C-37 and C-39.

Taken together, the elements of Bill C-39 amount to consolidation of federal power at the expense of the environment we all share, of workers rights, and crucially, at the expense of Indigenous sovereignty.

Here is the list of candidates who did not respond to our questionnaire about reducing or eliminating ambulance fees for older adults, newcomers, and Indigenous people.

Candidates were emailed on September 23rd using contact information provided on the City of Winnipeg website. All candidates were given two weeks to respond before the questionnaire was closed.

“No Grifols sites should be reopening, especially in Winnipeg, where two deaths have been connected to their for-profit plasma collection centres in the city. The reopening of the site on Innovation Drive puts the public at risk. All Grifols sites should be taken over by Canadian Blood Services and run on a fully voluntary, public basis,” said Noah Schulz, provincial director of the Manitoba Health Coalition
