Did you know you actually need to shave before your laser hair removal appointment?

It’s totally normal if you didn’t know! Most people are used to letting their hair grow out for waxing and sugaring, so laser can feel a little backwards.

The difference is that waxing and sugaring remove the hair from the root, while laser needs the hair follicle to still be intact. Shaving removes the hair above the skin while leaving the follicle underneath, allowing the laser to target it without the hair above the skin absorbing the energy.

So remember: waxing and sugaring = grow it out. Laser = shave it off.
