On World Physiotherapy Day, a lecture on aggression and inappropriate behaviour in the workplace took place at Ghent University Hospital (UZ Gent).

A topic that, unfortunately, seems increasingly relevant within healthcare. As healthcare professionals, we work closely with people, often during vulnerable moments. This requires not only expertise and empathy, but also the ability to set clear boundaries and respond appropriately when those boundaries are crossed.

That is why practical tools, insights and strategies for dealing with aggression and inappropriate behaviour are not a luxury, but an important resource in the workplace.

A safe and respectful working environment is a shared responsibility. Only when healthcare professionals feel safe and respected can we continue to provide the best possible care. 🤝
