For Selena, drug discovery begins with curiosity: reading the data, following the clues, and shaping complex science into a story others can understand. ✨

In her role as a medicinal chemist in Global Discovery Chemistry, she applies that mindset to work rooted in a clear purpose: helping patients.

Novartis been included in Fortune's Change the World 2026 list – for our sustainable business model to tackle one of the world's most pressing health challenges.

Malaria still kills more than 600,000 people a year, most of them children. For three decades, our malaria program has worked to change that by delivering more than 1.1 billion antimalarial treatments, on a largely not-for-profit basis. We are also investing in building the sector's largest pipeline of next-generation antimalarials to help to address the growing threat of drug resistance.

This recognition reflects the tireless work of our teams and partners to stay the course in global health through turbulent times.
