A prestigious international recognition for Professor Paolo De Coppi 🏅

EUPSA is extremely proud to congratulate Professor Paolo De Coppi, MD, PhD, FMedSci, FRCS (Hon), EUPSA Past President, on being awarded Honorary Fellowship of the American College of Surgeons (ACS).

Established in 1913, Honorary Fellowship is one of the most distinguished recognitions conferred by the American College of Surgeons, honouring internationally renowned surgeons who have made outstanding contributions to surgery and medicine.

This year, only eight surgeons from around the world and across all surgical specialties received this prestigious distinction.

Professor De Coppi was recognised as an internationally renowned leader in paediatric surgery, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, reflecting the extraordinary impact of his clinical, academic and research work.

The honour is particularly significant for the paediatric surgical community: throughout the long history of the ACS Honorary Fellowship, paediatric surgeons have represented only a small number of recipients, including distinguished European figures such as Claire Nihoul-Fékété and Lewis Spitz.

A remarkable achievement and a source of great pride for the entire EUPSA community.

Congratulations, Paolo, on this outstanding and well-deserved recognition! 👏

“Global Initiatives for Pediatric Oncology Surgery in GICS and IPSO”

We will be honoured to welcome Professor Simone de Campos Vieira Abib, an internationally recognised paediatric surgical oncologist, Chair of the Global Initiative for Children’s Surgery (GICS), Full Professor of Pediatric Surgery and Head of Pediatric Surgical Oncology at the Pediatric Oncology Institute–GRAACC, Federal University of São Paulo.
A former President of IPSO, Professor Abib has extensive experience in global collaboration, education and the surgical care of children with cancer.

The webinar will be moderated by:

A wonderful group to close the “17th Central & Eastern European Pediatric Surgery Course in Plovdiv”! 📸
