I used to think that as long as I hit the gym before work, I could sit at my desk the rest of the day guilt-free. Then I stumbled on a review of 30+ studies showing that mini-walks every half hour can actually do a better job controlling post-meal blood sugar than one big workout followed by hours of sitting!¹

Here’s what changed for me: after breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I set a timer for 30 minutes. When it dings, I stand up and march in place or walk out to the mailbox for 3–5 minutes. No sneakers required!

Since starting these “movement snacks,” I feel less of that midafternoon slump, my focus is sharper, and my latest glucose check was more stable. Even if you don’t track numbers, you’ll notice your energy stay steadier.

What are your favorite quick movement breaks? Do you pace while on calls, do calf raises behind your chair, or sneak in stair-climbing? Share in the comments—and tag a friend who needs a little extra pep in their step! 😊👇

Feel free to share this post with anyone who sits more than they walk. Let’s move together! 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️
