Conjunctivitis (pink eye) can be caused by bacteria, viruses, allergens, or irritants. While it's best to see a doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment, natural remedies can help soothe symptoms and speed up recovery. Here are some effective options:

1. Cold or Warm Compress

For viral or allergic conjunctivitis: Use a cold compress to reduce swelling and irritation.

For bacterial conjunctivitis: Use a warm compress to loosen discharge and relieve discomfort.

How to do it: Soak a clean cloth in warm or cold water, wring it out, and gently press it over the affected eye for a few minutes. Use a separate cloth for each eye to avoid spreading infection.

2. Saline Solution (Salt Water Rinse)

Why it works: Saline can help flush out irritants and bacteria.

How to use: Mix 1 teaspoon of salt in a cup of boiled, cooled water. Use a clean cotton ball to wipe the eye or rinse with a sterile dropper.
