Clinical Case | Delayed Endosteal Implant Placement
A 29-year-old female presented with a missing mandibular right first molar (46), which had remained unrestored for approximately 5–6 years following extraction due to failed root canal treatment.
Her main concern was difficulty chewing on the affected side, and she expressed a preference for a fixed, implant-supported restoration.
Clinical and radiographic assessment focused on the edentulous ridge, available bone, soft-tissue condition, adjacent teeth, periodontal status, and the inferior alveolar canal. Based on the findings, the site was considered suitable for endosteal implant placement in relation to 46.
