It is the largest labyrinth in the world, the only one designed around 2 centers and made of cacti. The Tamarindo Labyrinth is built around 2 energy centers.

It is the largest labyrinth in the world and the only one designed around 2 centers. Contrary to a maze where you get lost and have to try to find your way out, a labyrinth only has one single pathway that leads from entrance to the center and is rather a path into the depth of one self. Its total surface is over 1 hectare (3 acres) and the walking path measuresover 3 km (2miles). It takes about 1 hour to walk the entire labyrinth.

Chosen by the Costa Rican Tourism Board (ICT) to represent the country’s gastronomy in Germany, Cala Luna brought its culinary philosophy to an international audience through the talent of our Chef Giancarlo Fernández.

At Enamor cooking school, Chef Giancarlo welcomed 25 influential figures from Germany’s culinary scene for a cooking class and a four-course tasting dinner. He offered an artistic interpretation of Costa Rican cuisine, honoring the character of each ingredient.

This approach reflects the philosophy of Origen: a commitment to local and organic ingredients, sustainability, and cooking in harmony with nature.

We are proud of Chef Giancarlo and our entire culinary team, whose creativity and dedication shape the dining experience at Cala Luna every day.
