🌹 THE ROSE RENDEZVOUS 🌹
An Ember & Bloom Friday Adventure Drop
Made together. Enjoyed together.
A beautiful rose. A little chemistry. And something rather lovely planned for later. ❤️
This weekend, we're turning a handful of simple ingredients into a romantic experience for two.
And yes, there will be bubbles. 🫧😉
We're creating our own luxurious bath bombs, with simple ingredients and a romantic evening waiting at the end.
And the best part? We've planned the whole experience for you.
And don't worry. We've made it easy.
🌹 THE ROSE:
STOP ONE: A ROSE FOR THE OCCASION
Your adventure begins with a little outing. Start the romance Don't forget to hold hands while you are out and about 🤝
Head to a flower shop, grocery store, or market together and choose one beautiful rose.
While you're out, pick up any bath-bomb ingredients you don't already have.
**Your shopping list:**
- Baking soda
- Citric acid
- Cornstarch
- Sweet almond oil or jojoba oil (optional)
- One beautiful rose
- Optional: ½–1 teaspoon finely crushed, completely dried, untreated rose petals, lavender, or another skin-safe dried flower.
- A silicone muffin mould, if you don't have one
That's all you need for the basic adventure.
❤️ STOP TWO: A LITTLE CHEMISTRY 🧪
Back home, Put your rose in some water, Play some music.🎶
Have a little dance in the Kitchen 💞
Clear a little space on the kitchen counter. It's time to make your bath bombs!
THE SIMPLE ROSE BATH BOMB RECIPE 🌹🫧
Makes approximately 2–3 small bath bombs.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup baking soda
- ½ cup citric acid
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon sweet almond oil or jojoba oil (optional)
- A few fine mists of water, only if needed
- Optional: ½–1 teaspoon finely crushed, completely dried, untreated rose petals, lavender, or another skin-safe dried flower.
Instructions:
1. Mix the baking soda, citric acid, and cornstarch in a bowl. If using dried flower petals, stir them into the dry mixture now.
2. If using the optional oil, add it and mix thoroughly.
3. Squeeze a handful of the mixture. If it doesn't hold together, add one very fine mist of water and immediately mix. Repeat sparingly until the mixture holds its shape. Too much water will activate the fizz.
4. Firmly pack the mixture into your moulds.
5. Leave the bath bombs somewhere cool and dry for approximately 24–48 hours, or until completely hardened.
6. Carefully remove them from their moulds and store in an airtight container until your romantic rendezvous.
**A little tip: The mixture should resemble barely damp sand, not wet dough. If it starts fizzing while you're mixing, you've added too much moisture.
🌹 STOP THREE: SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO
Your bath bombs need time to dry.
Which gives you a whole day to anticipate the second half of your adventure.
Before you finish, choose when you'll have your romantic rendezvous.
Saturday evening?
Sunday afternoon?
Whenever you can enjoy a little uninterrupted time together.
❤️ STOP FOUR: THE RENDEZVOUS
Now for the part you've been waiting for!
Put on some soft romantic music.
Dim the lights.
Run the bath.
Set out your softest towels.
And remember that beautiful rose you chose together?
🌹 Gently pluck the petals, and scatter a few across the bathwater.
Drop in one of your handmade bath bombs and watch it fizz!
Then slip into the bath together and enjoy a little uninterrupted time for two.
Now it's time for the best part.
No distractions.
Just the two of you enjoying a little luxury you created together.

And who says you have to stop pursuing each other just because you're married?
