What an inspiring two days at neja in Rosenheim! 🙌

On October 9–10, we hosted our 2nd Scoliosis Masterclass with – two intensive days filled with valuable insights, engaging discussions and shared learning experiences.

The focus was on complex scoliosis cases, different treatment strategies and the clinical reasoning behind important treatment decisions.

With her extensive experience, in-depth knowledge and passion for scoliosis care, Mina shared valuable insights into her clinical practice, encouraging participants to reflect on established approaches and explore new perspectives.

But what truly made this Masterclass special was the spirit of collaboration: the open exchange of ideas, thoughtful questions, lively discussions and the shared enthusiasm for learning from one another.

💜 A big thank you to Mina for two inspiring days, for sharing her expertise and for her dedication!

And of course, a heartfelt thank you to all our participants, whose experiences, curiosity and active involvement made this Masterclass such a special experience.

Because in the end, it's about more than sharing knowledge. It's about learning from one another, discovering new perspectives and working together to advance scoliosis care.

✨ Save the Date – April 2027!
The date is set: From 16–18 April 2027, the 24th neja Scolio RSC® Brace Intensive Seminar will take place at neja in Rosenheim, Germany.
Together with Dr. Manuel Rigo and Dino Gallo, participants can look forward to three intensive days dedicated to conservative scoliosis treatment and the Scolio RSC® Brace.
The seminar combines in-depth theoretical knowledge with a strong practical focus. Practical sessions, case discussions and clinical questions provide the opportunity to deepen existing knowledge and gain valuable insights for everyday patient care.
But the Intensive Seminar is about more than just learning: professional exchange, sharing experiences and discussing different perspectives are an important part of these three days. Bringing together professionals with a shared interest in scoliosis treatment creates an environment where we can learn from each other and develop new perspectives for daily practice.

✨ Shweshwe Collection – Another Design 💙
With the Scolio RSC® Brace, individually tailored medical treatment for scoliosis is at the heart of what we do. At the same time, a brace accompanies its wearer for many hours throughout the day – which is why personal design options can also play an important role.
The idea for our Shweshwe Collection grew out of conversations with our partners in Africa and their requests for designs with a meaningful regional connection.
Shweshwe is a traditional printed cotton fabric that is especially well known in Southern Africa and closely associated, among others, with Basotho clothing. It is characterized by its distinctive colors and recurring graphic patterns.
This inspiration can also be seen in another design from our collection: different shades of blue meet black and white, while flowing shapes, fine lines, and dotted details create a lively and expressive look for the Scolio RSC® Brace.
The Shweshwe Collection shows how medical care, individual design, and international exchange can come together. Through the ideas and input of our partners, new design possibilities emerge that give patients more choice in how their brace looks and feels as part of their everyday lives.
Because a brace is a medical device – but it is also a daily companion. And there should always be room for individuality. 💙 🖤

2nd Scoliosis Masterclass with Dr. Mina Jelačić – 9–10 October 2026

Scoliosis care is about much more than correcting a curve.

For Dr. Mina Jelačić, one principle has always been at the heart of her work:

“My philosophy is simple: never treat the X-ray alone—treat the person.”

Behind every X-ray is a person with their own story, challenges, expectations, and goals. For Mina, successful treatment therefore means looking beyond the spine – at body balance and function, but also at confidence, acceptance, and quality of life.

Especially for young people, learning to understand and accept their scoliosis can be an important part of treatment. As Mina puts it, accepting scoliosis does not mean giving up – it means accepting yourself.

This combination of clinical expertise and genuine understanding for the individual is what shapes Mina’s work – and what she brings to the 2nd Scoliosis Masterclass.

Over two intensive days, participants will explore assessment, treatment principles, complex cases, and the reasoning behind clinical decisions – with insights designed to be taken back into everyday clinical practice.

The 2nd Scoliosis Masterclass with Dr. Mina Jelačić on 9–10 October 2026 is not only about theory – it is also about clinical experience, challenging cases, and the lessons we can learn from them.

One particular case has stayed with Mina throughout her career.

“That experience reminded me never to underestimate a patient’s potential to respond to treatment.”

The patient was only three years old and presented with severe scoliosis of around 60 degrees, along with several other health problems. Mina initially believed that bracing would have very limited value and referred the patient to a spinal surgeon.

As surgery was not medically possible at that time, brace treatment was started while waiting.

What happened next surprised even Mina: the response to treatment was exceptionally good. With consistent brace treatment and close follow-up, the curve gradually improved. Today, at the age of nine, the curvature is around 35 degrees.

For Mina, this case represents something that continues to guide her work today: experience and evidence are essential – but every patient is unique. Sometimes, cases develop differently than we initially expect.

These are exactly the kinds of experiences Mina brings to the 2nd Scoliosis Masterclass. Together with the participants, she will explore complex cases, different treatment strategies, and, above all, the reasoning behind clinical decisions.

"My journey into scoliosis care began with my own diagnosis."

At the age of seven, Dr. Mina Jelačić was diagnosed with scoliosis. From that day on, wearing a brace, following a dedicated exercise program, and swimming regularly became part of her daily life. She did everything she was asked to do—yet her curves continued to progress.

By the age of 17, she had two curves of around 45 degrees, and surgery was recommended. It was a difficult moment. After ten years of doing everything she could, it felt as though she had failed. But instead of giving up, Mina chose a different path and continued searching for other possibilities.

That search led her to Barcelona, where she met Dr. Manuel Rigo and his team. For the first time, she experienced what modern scoliosis care could truly look like—evidence-based, patient-centered, and delivered with genuine empathy.

That experience changed her life. It inspired her to dedicate her professional career to scoliosis care and to give her own patients the knowledge, support, and hope that she had once received herself.

On 9–10 October 2026, Dr. Mina Jelačić will share her expertise at the 2nd Scoliosis Masterclass hosted by neja.

Unser PT Vertiefungskurs Skoliose & Schwangerschaft liegt hinter uns – und wir blicken auf einen intensiven, inspirierenden und praxisnahen Fortbildungstag zurück.

Gemeinsam haben wir uns mit den Besonderheiten der Skoliosetherapie während Schwangerschaft, Geburt und Rückbildung beschäftigt, Erfahrungen ausgetauscht und viele praktische Ansätze für den Therapiealltag erarbeitet.

Ein herzliches Dankeschön an unsere Referentin Jenny Dinges () für ihr fundiertes Fachwissen, ihre Leidenschaft und die vielen wertvollen Impulse.
