With many years experience in all aspects of care, specialising in Palliative, Dementia, Tissue Viability, Stroke et al Tenerife is a fantastic destination to either start a new life or retire to. The concern to many of our clients is what care can I have, Will I need additional support due to language barriers etc etc. Here at HCP Care, Hannah and the team try to break down the barriers, providing either nursing or home care options allowing you to live comfortably. Our aim is to support our clients in their own space, for some on discharge from hospital, wound care treatments may be needed or additional health plans integrated into the care to enable them to move forward. We are fully aware that here on the island there is not many actual care homes however our belief is that with the right support you should be able to enjoy the quality of life from the comforts of your own home. Independance is therefore a key part of the plans that our team will put together, with proven history in the rehabilitation of hospital discharged patients alongside a history of care you can be assured of professional care to support your living. Additional assitance can be achieved by some of the many companies we work with here on the island. If you require translation services for doctors, Home cleaning or washing / Ironing services we can help offer all round care as part of ongoing support. ❤️ I REALLY DO LOVE MY JOB! ❤️

Recently, I had the pleasure of caring for a lovely lady who was visiting Tenerife on holiday. During one of our visits, I noticed she was wearing a perfume that instantly reminded me of my grandma. I told my lovely client how familiar the scent was and how it brought back so many precious memories of my grandma.

What happened next genuinely touched my heart. 🥰

As a thank you, my client bought me the very same perfume as a gift. Such a thoughtful, unexpected gesture that meant far more to me than she could ever imagine.

Now, whenever I smell that perfume, I won’t just be reminded of my wonderful grandma and the beautiful memories we shared, but also of a lovely lady I had the privilege of caring for in Tenerife, who has created a special new memory for me.

This is what care is really all about. ❤️

It’s so much more than a job, a visit, or a list of tasks to complete. It’s about the connections we build, the trust we earn, the kindness we share, and those little moments that stay with us long after the visit has ended.

As nurses / carers, we often go into someone’s life to make a difference to them, but sometimes, without even realising it, they make a difference to us, too.

This little gift will forever hold two very special memories for me which I will treasure

For those that do not know about us, we are a fully legal and insured multi award winning Home Care Company in Tenerife, led by a British trained and Registered Nurse and our fantastic team of carers.

💜 World Alzheimer’s Day 💜

Did you know that in Spain, between 800,000 and 900,000 people live with dementia?

Alzheimer’s disease is the leading cause of dementia, accounting for around 60–70% of all dementia cases.

As our population ages, the number of people affected by dementia is expected to increase significantly.

But the impact of dementia is not only felt by the person living with the condition. It is also felt by families, loved ones and care teams, who do their very best to provide support, comfort and care every day.

Repatriation Day:

It always an emotional time as we take clients back to their new lives in the UK but we always love seeing the beauty of Tenerife from above.

Repatriation Services by our team is an easy way to make sure that your loved ones are cared for as we fly to the UK and other countries with our multi-national care team.

Also as an aside: Yes Jay our admin used AI to put our logo on a plane, we haven’t yet got to buying our own aircraft 🙈😂

As Jay and I take a little family break, it’s given us the opportunity to sit back and reflect on what has been an incredible year for HCP Care.

As summer comes to an end, we’re already looking ahead and planning for the winter season here in Tenerife — preparing to welcome our long-term residents and the many tourists who choose Tenerife as their home away from home.

Words cannot express how proud I am of what we have built. We may say often how thankful we are to our team, but we genuinely mean it.

Like any business, we have faced the usual challenges, alongside some unexpected ones. But throughout it all, our incredible team have remained at the forefront of providing care to those who need it most.

The achievements we have received this year are an incredible addition to what we already know — just how special our team is and how much passion they put into the work they do.
