BIG NEWS!! My L. Reuteri lab-testing project is finally moving forward!
For the past year, many of you have been asking the same questions:
- How many CFUs are in my homemade L. reuteri yogurt?
- Does the milk fermentation method change the microbial count?
I’ve been working behind the scenes to make this a reality, and I’m excited to share that I’ve now begun the process with Eurofins, one of Europe’s leading microbiology laboratories, to run a full microbial analysis of my probiotic yogurt.
This means:
• Professional CFU enumeration
• Confirmation of strain identity
• A full breakdown of what’s living in the final product
AND FULL TRANSPARENCY during the whole process.
This will be the first community-funded scientific project for Cress Dietetics and will help all of us better understand how to combine modern probiotics with traditional home fermentation.
The full fundraiser will launch soon. I’ll share the testing plan, project budget, and how you can participate once I receive the final quote from the lab.
Thank you all for your support! This is a huge step toward bringing more real data, transparency, and evidence-based fermentation into the public space.
Stay tuned!
