My latest video on the Thrive Senses YouTube channel takes me to beautiful Pembrokeshire, swimming in the Blue Lagoon at Abereiddy, visiting a waterfall on the beach at Tresaith, and exploring stunning Llangrannog. But before we went, my head was full of “What If?” thoughts -What if the weather was awful? What if the car broke down? What if something went wrong? So I explore this kind of thinking and why we sometimes need to turn the question around and ask: What if it all goes right? 💚

A warm, laid-back gathering for women to slow down, connect and reflect on the experiences that have shaped us. Over tea and thoughtful conversations we’ll explore how to look back at our past selves with a little more kindness and compassion. No pressure to share. No right or wrong answers. Just come as you are. There’s one space left for our next session on Monday 21st September, 11am-1pm. Please message me if you’d like to join us 💚

We often look back at our past selves with a critical eye, forgetting that we were doing the best we could with what we knew at the time. What if we offered that younger version of ourselves a little more kindness? The Thrive Senses Self-Love: Looking Back with Compassion gathering is a gentle space to reflect, connect and recognise how far we’ve come 💚

Join me for a lovely day exploring Ludlow, starting with a visit to the award-winning Ludlow Farm Shop, then wandering around this beautiful, historic market town and finishing with a peaceful walk beside the river at The Linney. Afterwards, I explore the psychology of making time for joy, why positive emotions are so important for our wellbeing, and why we shouldn’t feel we have to finish everything on our to-do lists before we’re allowed to enjoy ourselves. It’s a little reminder to make space for the things that make you happy, simply because they make you happy.

Joy is more than a fleeting moment of happiness. It can bring lightness to difficult days, connect us more deeply with others, and remind us of what makes life feel meaningful. Look for the moments that make you smile, laugh, feel alive, or simply glad to be here 💚

Joy isn’t something we should save for when everything else is finished. Make time for the little things that make you happy, simply because they make you happy. Those moments of fun, pleasure and enjoyment aren’t frivolous. They’re an important part of our well-being. So give yourself permission to embrace a little more joy today.

Joy isn’t something we need to earn by finishing everything on our to-do list. It’s important to make space for the things that bring you happiness, whether thats time with people you love, exploring somewhere new, or simply doing something because you enjoy it. Life will always be busy. Choose joy anyway.

Join me for a dreamy day exploring Hay-on-Wye, the famous Welsh town of books, followed by beautiful views from Hay Bluff. Afterwards, I look at the stories we tell ourselves, why our natural negativity bias can shape those stories, and how cognitive reframing can help us create a kinder, more balanced and positive narrative for our lives.

When we can’t change what’s happening around us, we can still choose how we respond to it. We can choose the meaning we give an experience, what we learn from it, and the story we carry forward. Sometimes, changing our perspective is where our power lies.

The way we interpret our experiences shapes the way we see ourselves and our lives. So don’t let one mistake, setback or negative comment become the whole story. Challenge the narrative your mind creates and look for a perspective that is kinder, fairer and more balanced. You may not always be able to choose what happens to you, but you can choose the story you tell yourself about it.
