“Holding on is believing that there’s only a past; letting go is knowing that there’s a future.” — Daphne Rose

There’s a particular kind of tiredness that builds up this time of year, not the kind an early night fixes, but the weight of everything we’ve been quietly carrying. Old worries. Patterns we’ve outgrown. Energy that’s got stuck somewhere and forgotten how to move. Autumn doesn’t fight this. It leans in. The trees drop what they no longer need, the light softens, and the whole landscape gives itself permission to slow down and let go. This is your invitation to do the same.

Come and join us.

Hello October 🐌

Cosiness is calling. Retreat, slow mornings, baking, stew in the oven, open fires, candles, long baths. Hello, hello and welcome.

The snail has been bringing me messages these past few weeks as we move into autumn, and not just about moving slowly. It’s about the trail we leave behind: the memories, the connections, the deep-rooted changes.

In autumn, the snail seals itself into its shell and goes inward. No apology, no guilt. Retreat is part of the cycle.

What the snail teaches:
🐌 Pace: stop rushing, trust your own journey
🐌 Home: you carry your sanctuary with you
🐌 Spiral: growth that circles inward to deeper wisdom
🐌 Boundaries: know when to retreat and when to emerge

This season, look out for the snail on a damp path or a garden wall. Let it be your reminder to slow down and think about the trail you’re leaving behind each day 🐌

Come and slow down with us at Cosy & Calm, Sound Spa on Tuesday 13 October, at 7.30 PM Amersham. Link in bio to book, last few spaces.

We’re back at the lovely WHITELEAF YURT 💚 for our Shamanic Sound Journey with Dandelion on
Wednesday 16 September, 7.30pm-9.30pm, near Great Missenden 🌀✨🌾

We have 6 spots left if you’d like to sit in circle and sip Dandelion tea, to work with the sun, moon and star symbolism of this humble and extraordinary plant. We’ll be guided by the drum into the heart of autumn, releasing what no longer serves, opening to inner sight.

What is Shamanic Drumming & Journeying?
Shamanic drumming and journey are among the oldest spiritual practices known to man. With proper guidance, anyone can take a shamanic journey to connect with the wisdom of the earth and our ancestors to receive guidance and healing.
We actively connect with Mother Earth’s heartbeat when we beat a drum. This is why ancient shamans drummed. The rhythmical beating of a drum is one of humankind’s oldest practices. The beat of the first drum perhaps reminded our distant ancestors of that very first rhythm we heard, the comforting heartbeat, of our deep connection to the body of our mother and to Earth itself.

Just taking a moment to pause, to listen to the sounds and songs that are wanting to be shared.

It’s always nice to have a summer break from hosting events, but my soul is yearning to connect deeper again, to the magic and mystery of these teachings, and to share them with you all.

✨ My first Sound Spa is this Wednesday (sold out!)
🔮 Then a Shamanic Sound Journey for those ready to go deeper
🌀 Next Sound Spa in Amersham: Tuesday 12th October

See you soon, to reconnect with your inner wisdom and magic. 💗🌀✨

Just enjoying my last days of holiday before returning to work tomorrow. I set an intention at the start of my morning walk that I wanted to find a face stone (have you ever seen stones with faces in them? They are so much fun). This time I found a special hag stone, shaped like a heart. 💗

A hag stone is a stone with a hole worn naturally through it by water over time. In folklore they’re seen as protective, a guardian against negative energy and the hole is said to grant “second sight,” letting you see what’s usually hidden: intuition, hidden truths, and the unseen, from fairies to spirits. The heart shape makes this one feel even more special.💗

It always makes me wonder how old these stones are. How much they’ve weathered and transformed. A reminder of patience, of staying grounded, and of all the memories the earth quietly carries.🌀
