Buzzybees Home Support We offer 1:1 personalised support with a caring, friendly and common sense approach. I manage a small team of dedicated staff with a common sense approach.

Buzzybees Home Support provides a wide range of support services enabling the elderly and those with a disability remain independent in the comfort of their own homes. After five years as co owner of an awarding winning home support business the time was right to 'go it alone'. For those that know me I am passionate about the future of Health and Social Care in the UK. Enabling the elderly and disabled maintain their independence and to stay in their own homes for as long as possible together with the freedom of choice to make their own decisions is the way forward.

Good afternoon everyone, this a post for awareness.
On Monday one of our support workers was on one of her regular calls in Andover to an elderly couple when no less than five men turned up to clean their gutters. After a conversation had taken place out in the garden the elderly gentleman came in looking stressed. He had just been informed by said men that there was damage to the roof and it would cost £2500 and it could be fixed straightaway! Thank goodness the support worker had the presence of mind to call the couples daughter! Men were duly sent packing but not before one became quite confrontational. Our colleague is thankfully fine if not a little shaken on the day. The elderly couple are still quite traumatised. There may well have been no ill intent from the gutter cleaners, who knows but just to warn your elderly loved ones to maybe not arrange jobs like this from a leaflet through the door without consulting with their loved ones first.

One of our service users has had a fight to be recognised as his wife’s carer on her recent stay at Wi******er Hospital.
She is in declining health with her dementia and spent one night pacing the under staffed wards, disturbing the other patients because the sister of the ward said it was inappropriate for her husband to sleep by her bed and to keep her calm on a mixed ward. The lady would have been extremely distressed and frightened and her poor husband who cares for her tirelessly at home not getting the rest and peace of mind he so deserves.
He found out the RHCH snd many other settings supports John’s Law which allows a close family member or carer to be able to stay with their loved one in hospital. A great shame the ward sister didnt have a little compassion.

What a fantastic review just in. It was a pleasure to support these lovely service users

'In September 2025, my family and I realised my parents needed additional support to continue living independently at home, as they were both living with different forms of dementia.
I contacted Erica at Buzzybees, it was the best decision I could have made.
From the very first call, Erica reassured me that her team could provide the support we needed and quickly put a suitable support package in place, giving us confidence that my parents would be in safe and caring hands.
We especially valued the continuity with just two regular support workers visiting. This allowed strong, trusting relationships to develop and over time the support workers became familiar, friendly faces who my parents genuinely looked forward to seeing.
Buzzybees also kept me well informed of any important changes and were always available to listen, offer guidance and help resolve any concerns.
This ongoing support was invaluable, particularly as I was managing it from a distance and had very little experience of dementia care.
The Buzzybees team are professional, kind and compassionate. They consistently go above and beyond for both clients and their families.
I am deeply grateful for the support, reassurance, and compassion they provided during a difficult time.
If you are considering additional support for a loved one, I would wholeheartedly recommend Buzzybees.
They truly care, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

This week our mission is keeping people cool, as well as ourselves! Its tough on support workers and carers working in this heat so I encourage my colleagues to sit, drink water and take a break alongside encouraging our service users to drink more too.

Word of mouth recommendation is always best so it is truly humbling that someone has sent a friend our way 10 years after their loved one has passed. We obviously had an impact as they did to us.
