Why does blocked energy/unprocessed emotions matter?

When we talk about we talk about clearing blocked energy (unprocessed emotion) so our life-force energy can flow round our body properly, allowing our body and mind to heal from whatever physical and emotional challenges are going on….but what does it really mean in simple terms?

Your horse has invisible “circuits” of life force energy flowing through them, and for their body and mind to work properly this energy needs to flow without interruption/blocks, just like with people.

When they experience stress, injury, or a scare/trauma, these circuits can get blocked when the emotions can’t be processed at the time. Their body then enters a state of protective bracing: Muscles lock down, connective tissue hardens, and blood flow drops. This creates a vicious cycle that locks pain and anxiety in place. Trauma memory gets trapped in the brain and the cells! = nervous system bracing

*Energy healing is like a master release and reset switch*

Releasing old root-cause stuck energy, and calming the nervous system, so both the brain and the body stop fighting– allowing both to heal.

At the Horsemabship Showcase last weekend I delivered a talk called The Power of 3: Energy Healing, intuitive massage and Animal Communication

Energy Healing ❤️‍🩹 is transformational alone (I will never stop harping on about this!) but when the horse is also in need of a massage (tight muscles, fascia etc) then the healing has already prepped the body beautifully for massage by relaxing the body and calming the nervous system. I will be guided by the horse on where to massage and the pressure to use 💆‍♀️

I’m doing more and more energy healing (reiki, Shamanic and my own methods) combined with Animal Communication sessions - I usually start with healing and then move into communicating, but am always led by the horse. 2 horses this week have wanted to do things the other way around and one wanted to keep flitting between the two …she knew exactly how she wanted the session to go…her nickname was Princess too 👸 🤣

I am always intuitively guided on where the horse needs the healing energy focused, but when I add in Animal Communication then they can give me live direction & feedback too. They just compliment each other so beautifully 🤩✨

When everyone feels the energy shift ♥️

Energy healing shifts the energy of the environment & animals are masters at tuning into this even if they are not the one directly receiving the healing!

When I give energy healing to a horse (or another animal or person) if there are other animals or people in close proximity they can feel the benefits too, especially if they are connected to/bonded with that horse, such as a field mate or their owner/guardian (especially if they are intentionally feeling into the energy) And also other members of the family such as dogs who are at the yard a lot.

As a practitioner I can amplify this and intentionally widen the energetic field too.

Never underestimate the power of energy healing! An open recipient and an experienced and intuitive practitioner can make for a magical combination with transformational results and I really do believe there isn’t anything energy healing can’t help with! ✨🌀

This gorgeous boy reminded me that an animal communication session can be just as healing for the animal in spirit as it is for their human on Earth, especially if their soul really struggled to leave their person as he did, and he was also worried about his doggy best friend he left behind. He felt so much lighter and content after getting things off his chest which was just lovely 🥰

He also reminded me that animals (like people) can take a while to open up (and trust a stranger!) enough to show you more than surface level stuff, as our conversation got deeper as we went along, as he trusted me more.
This is one of the reasons I love giving energy healing before a communication, as aside from all the other health benefits it also builds trust and so the animal feels happier to open up.

With this gorgeous boy I was offering him energy healing and as he was nervous I let him fully guide me and I didn’t expect any messages to come through so soon, but once he started to trust me the messages started to flow and he settled into the session so beautifully! 🤍

Energy healing & intuitive massage is perfect for helping horses with a multitude of health challenges as we are treating the whole horse holistically - body, mind & spirit ✨

Energy healing is non-invasive and yet can have transformational benefits - perfect for horses with problems where you just don’t know where to start!

For my horse who had complex health challenges, including kissing spines, an old DDFT injury weakness, equine asthma and generalised muscle pain from holding himself together so tightly for so long (which also comes with a host of anxieties and pain memory) - a combination of reiki, light intuitive massage and acupuncture was his perfect combination.

How did I know this? Two ways – the results after each session – the physical results, and also how he seemed mentally too – he always seemed lighter and more content. But secondly, I always looked at how he responded during sessions. he LOVED these treatments, was super relaxed and sometimes I even got a little massage from him (with teeth!) too ♥️

You can’t beat a post-treatment scratch & cuddle 🥰

✨How can two equine therapies complement each other and have transformational results for the horse? 🤩

Two examples are:

🤸 combining energy healing with physio as part of a rehab plan for kissing spines can help the horse heal better and faster by clearing any stuck energy linked to the back, calm the nervous system so the connective tissue stops bracing and decreasing pain and inflammation – allowing the physio’s exercises to have the best possible results - continuing and enhancing the healing of the horse’s body

💆‍♀️ combining energy healing with massage for tight or sore muscles can help the body feel safe enough to let go, open up more, and clear the stuck emotions that manifested the soreness in the body – so the massage can more effectively physically release tension and help repair muscles and tissue.
I will usually not give massage until session two with a horse or if it’s in the first session I will always start with energy healing. The massage I do is intuitively-led and I also include lighter movements that are fantastic at softening fascia and releasing trauma from the tissue.
