Your GI tracts best friend 🤍
Fresh batch of stewed apples for the week ahead. My body tells me when it needs these guys.
This is 8 apples stewed with their skin on. Chop, add some water and gently simmer until soft and at the consistency you desire. I also add some organic cinnamon to support blood sugar balance.
The high levels of pectin support the reduction of inflammation in the intestines and provide a wonderful prebiotoc to feed all those good bacteria you are harvesting and multiplying.
An absolute must in any GI protocol, hugely supportive for those with autoimmunity, but in my humble opinion, a simple addition we should all be having. The health of the GI tract is the health of you 🤍
This week I am having mine with a mix of chia/oat pudding in the morning - 2 tablespoons of chia, 20g oats, 2 tablespoons of stewed apple & potentially some raspberries. I do not have a sweet tooth so having this is something I need to make a consistent effort with. I can tell you though, my body thanks me.
Wishing you a beautiful week ahead 🤍
