You’ve heard the phrases “Trust your Gut” and “You are what you eat”, and probably, like me, you haven’t realised how important they are for our health and wellbeing. When we pay attention to our Gut, we can really start to feel what is or isn’t right for us. This is the ‘Second Brain’ in action! If you’d like to know more about how to reconnect to your ‘Inner Wisdom’, get in touch via www.heatherrobertson.co.uk 🧠

Q: How can CST help Me?
A: CST works by finding the cause of your pain or problem rather than treating the symptoms. By listening to what Your body needs, we find the root cause and this leads to lasting change.
Q: How many sessions do I need?
A: This depends on how long you’ve had the issue and how regular the sessions are. We suggest weekly or fortnightly treatments for long term problems, moving on to monthly maintenance for general wellbeing.
Q: What can CST treat?
A: Here’s a list of symptoms that respond well with CST.

So, what do people actually seek CranioSacral Therapy for? A question we get asked quite a lot, and the list is not long enough!

CST is explored by people for many different reasons, from everyday stress and tension to headaches, discomfort, sleep difficulties and general wellbeing. It's explored from babies to 90+ year olds, CST really does reach a range of people.

There are also specialist areas of practice, including post-concussion support, where practitioners with appropriate training can work within their scope of practice.

Everyone's circumstances are different, so CST isn't a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. If you're experiencing ongoing or concerning symptoms, always seek appropriate medical advice.

Q: What happens in a CST session?
A: We have a chat about how you’re feeling and what brought you here. Then you lie down on a couch and relax under a blanket and I start to work at your feet.
Q: Do I have to take my clothes off?
A: No. We suggest wearing warm layers so you feel comfortable.
Q: Why start at my feet if if for my headaches/ stiff neck/ bad back/ sore knees/ stomach ache etc?
A: I’m getting in touch with your body’s connective tissue and introducing myself to the part of you that knows what YOU need. By starting at the feet, your body can relax and ‘check me out’ to see what it trusts me to work on, then I find the place I need to start at.
Q: Will it hurt?
A: CST is a gentle, hands on approach that follows where your body needs me to be, using a light touch to allow your body to be fully heard and supported.
Q: Will it make me worse?
A: CST works with your body’s own ‘Inner Wisdom’ so you will feel different after each session.
Q: Do you do manipulations?
A: In CST we follow the tissue, so that means sometimes your body may move, but we don’t move you.
Q: What age groups can benefit?
A: CST is suitable for Everybody!
From newborns to the elderly.
Q: What can it help with?
A: Due to the gentle listening nature of CST it works with a wide range of issues, from aches and pains to emotional issues. Because we listen to your body, CST is a safe way to work as it’s led by You, and You’re the expert on what You need.
Q: Where do you work?
A: I’m at the Tarka Clinic on Wednesdays and The Sage Apothecary on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Q: How do I book?
A: If you’d like to know more or book a session, feel free to contact me @
