Emotions don’t have to keep weighing us down. 🌿

There are so many tools we can use to help process and transform them.

I’ve just added to my toolkit, studying ancient Daoist practices with Master Mantak Chia in London.

Simple techniques. Powerful shifts. More calm, balance and peace.

Through kinesiology, breath, therapeutic movement and nervous-system practices, I help women find new ways to navigate the emotional and physical changes of perimenopause and menopause.

What helps you find your calm when emotions feel overwhelming?

The past couple of weeks have been absolutely jam-packed.

Work, events, studying, family, all the usual life stuff — and a lot of plates spinning at once.

And this is exactly when practising what I preach becomes important.

It’s very easy to talk about nervous system regulation when life is calm. The real practice is remembering to come back to yourself when life is anything but.

For me, that has meant making space for stillness, movement, breath and the practices that I know help my system reset — rather than simply pushing harder and hoping I’ll catch up later.

Some weeks are about getting everything done.

Other weeks are about recognising when enough is enough.

And learning to move between the two is a big part of whole-being wellbeing.

A few things that have been supporting my own practice lately:

✨ Daoist training with

Always learning. Always practising. And, occasionally, remembering to do what I tell everyone else to do. 😉

Does menopause have to be painful?

Or have we been taught to expect the worst?

What if the anger, exhaustion, body changes and emotional rollercoaster aren’t just symptoms to suppress…

but signals that something is ready to change?

I chose to approach my menopause naturally — and to see it as a rite of passage rather than something to fear.

Allowing emotions and symptoms as messengers and transforming that into growth. Finding healthy ways to express and process.

Could menopause actually be a powerful transition into a different version of you?

What was your experience?

Hot flushes. Poor sleep. Anxiety. Exhaustion. Brain fog. Weight changes. Just to mention a few.

When these symptoms show up in perimenopause and menopause, a quick fix can seem like the obvious way to go — find the symptom, find something to make it better.

I’m always interested in looking a little deeper.

Stress and nervous system load can form a large part of the picture, alongside hormonal changes.

Sometimes the answer isn’t to keep pushing through.

It’s about creating the space to breathe, slow down, refocus and re-evaluate — and ask what is truly important.

Which lifestyle choices, beliefs, habits or expectations are no longer serving you?

I’d love to hear about your story and experiences. ❤️

When we experience stress repeatedly, the body can learn to hold it — a response that was once temporary becomes habitual.

During hormonal changes, particularly peri-menopause and menopause, these patterns can become much more noticeable and escalate.

The nervous system, hormones and physical body are all connected.

So rather than simply stretching the tight area, it can be helpful to ask:

What is my body actually trying to tell me?

This is a big part of the work I do — helping women understand what their body is communicating, through movement, kinesiology and nervous-system work.

And sometimes, one of the simplest ways we can support the nervous system is through meditation.

💚 This is something we’ll be exploring at my Meditation for Hormone & Nervous-System Wellbeing evening at The Yard next Tuesday.

If you’ve ever thought, *”Meditation just isn’t for me...”* — you’re not alone. 💚

Perhaps you’ve tried it before and struggled to switch off your thoughts. Maybe sitting still feels uncomfortable, or you simply don’t know where to begin.

The good news is that meditation doesn’t have to mean sitting cross-legged for hours trying to empty your mind!

On 22 September at 7pm I’m hosting a gentle evening at where we’ll explore simple, accessible meditation techniques to support your nervous system, hormonal wellbeing, sleep and sense of calm.

✨ No experience needed
✨ You don’t need to “empty your mind”
✨ Most techniques can even be done seated or lying down

A beautiful opportunity to learn practical techniques you can take away and use in everyday life. 💚
