💜 November is Mouth Cancer Awareness Month

A quick reminder that your dental check-up is about more than just your teeth!

Your dentist also checks for early signs of mouth cancer, spotting changes you might not notice yourself.

👄 Know the signs:

- Ulcers lasting more than 3 weeks
- Red or white patches
- Unusual lumps or swelling
- Persistent mouth or throat pain
- Difficulty swallowing or speaking

Early detection matters. If you notice anything unusual, don't ignore it - get it checked.

Over the past four months, more than 32 hours of appointments have been lost due to patients not attending. This makes it harder for us to offer care to other patients who are waiting to be seen.

If you ever need to cancel your appointment, please just give us a call as soon as you can – with at least 48 hours’ notice – so we can offer the time to someone else who needs it.

We completely understand that unexpected things happen. If an appointment is cancelled within 48 hours, or missed entirely, a missed appointment charge may apply. This helps us keep the practice running smoothly and ensure appointments remain available for everyone.

We really appreciate your understanding and support as we work to keep appointments running smoothly.

We were very sad to say goodbye to Dental Hygienist Kathryn, who left the Practice yesterday. Her friendly, warm manner has been truly appreciated by both patients and staff, and she will be greatly missed.

Our Reception Team has contacted all patients whose appointments were affected and rearranged them with one of our other Hygienists. If you think you may still have an appointment that needs adjusting, please get in touch with Reception and they’ll be happy to help.

Today we said a fond goodbye to Dental Nurse Lois, who is leaving us as she moves away.

Lois has been a valued member of the Wellsway team, and her kindness and calm presence have made a real difference to both patients and colleagues. We wish her every happiness and success in the future.

On Saturday we had our Wellsway team summer social ☀️🌳

It was lovely to catch up with everyone over a picnic in the park, with plenty of fun and a little friendly competition! 🏏🥎🏑

We enjoyed games of rounders, Spikeball and croquet - a great afternoon with a brilliant team! 💙

Team Night Out 🎉🎶

Most of the team headed into Bath last weekend for Party in the City - soaking up the music, the atmosphere, a few well‑earned drinks, and plenty of laughs. Such a good chance to switch off, enjoy the evening, and spend time together outside the practice.
