Giveaway is over and dates are filled 💖
I did this wee give away because I was feeling good on holiday with my kids and wanted to spread a little love.
As lovely as it is when people feel comfortable enough to want to message these sad stories on why they feel certain people should win it, it unfortunately doesn’t work that way and it happens too much and happens with every competition/giveaways that most people put up and tbh it’s usually from people that haven’t ever booked in or supported your work in anyway. One of the reasons most of us that run any sort of competition use a random generator to announce a winner is because of the types of messages we will receive that almost leave us feeling guilty for not giving all the sob stories free work when the majority have never supported our business until somethings for “free” and they’re “deserving” of it. I understand people want to put a nice word or feel someone deserves it more than others going through the same situations because it’s your situation and your sad about it but really all your doing is making us feel bad or put on the spot to choose your person when it simply can not work that way and becomes unfair towards others because they’re situation is maybe sh*tty but not as sh*tty as yours and is the reason I don’t do competitions often, I shouldn’t be put on a spot where I have decide who’s life is worse to give out free work too when it should never be treated in that way. Whenever I do these competitions please let it be known the winner is completely randomly choose with a generator to keep it fair because no one is more deserving than the next on free work. If there’s one thing I’ve learnt speaking to so many clients over the years is that someone’s always going through something and no one’s story is more important than the next. I do these and work those days where it costs me my rent and supplies in the hopes I can make one persons day which is still more than others give back.
Anyway, I just landed home yesterday and I’ve already had people asking who’s won…..
Random generator will be done Friday and winner announced Friday night and I will not be doing anymore giveaways.
