We are delighted to announce the opening of Signature at Surbiton, marking an exciting milestone for our team and the wider Signature community.

Following months of planning, preparation and dedication, we are proud to welcome our first residents to their new home. 💜

General Manager, Tom, and the entire team have worked tirelessly to bring Signature at Surbiton to life. Thank you to everyone who has been involved in making this happen.

It was fantastic to be here in London celebrating alongside so many inspiring leaders from across the sector, all working to make a difference to the lives of residents, families and colleagues.

Rehabilitation that works together 💜

At Signature at Caversham, rehabilitation isn’t something that happens for just an hour a day. It’s part of everyday life.

Through our long-standing partnership with Therapies on Thames- Rehabilitation matters for elderly, our care and therapy teams work closely together to support residents to rebuild strength, regain confidence and maintain their independence.

From walking to meals and getting dressed, to taking part in activities and simply moving around the home, everyday moments can become opportunities to build confidence and keep progressing.

Rehabilitation is also shaped around each individual, taking into account their interests, goals and what matters most to them. Whether that means adapting exercises around a favourite hobby or using specialist equipment, the focus is always on making rehabilitation meaningful and accessible.

As Laura Hulett, General Manager at Signature at Caversham, explains:

“It’s not about a single physio session. It’s about how rehabilitation becomes part of everything we do.”

What a truly special day for Signature at Enfield! 💜

Our newest home, set to officially open its doors in November 2026, welcomed members of the local community today for its first ever Marketing Suite Open Day.

It was fantastic to see so many people visit, meet our wonderful team and take a tour of the home, getting a glimpse of everything Signature at Enfield will have to offer.

As the build continues to progress, we’re getting closer and closer to welcoming our first residents – and we can’t wait to officially open our doors in just two months’ time! 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today, and to all of our fantastic team members who worked so hard to make the event such a success.

Tony’s story is a beautiful reminder that a new chapter can bring new friendships, new experiences and a renewed sense of belonging. ❤️

After 48 years of marriage, Tony found that living alone following the loss of his wife became increasingly difficult. At Signature at Caversham, he has found the balance he was looking for: independence, companionship and the reassurance that there’s always someone around.

“You can live your own life here. You keep your routine and your independence, but you’re never on your own.”

From trips and outings to coffee with friends and the everyday conversations that mean so much, Tony has built a life where he feels connected, supported and truly at home.

Supporting our local community through dementia awareness 💜

Signature at Surbiton was delighted to welcome officers from Kingston and Surbiton Metropolitan Police for a Dementia Awareness training session.

Led by Sue Morgan, Residential Care Manager at Signature at Surbiton, the session gave eight local officers a greater understanding of how dementia can affect memory, communication, perception and behaviour – alongside practical guidance on how to support people living with dementia in challenging or unfamiliar situations.

The interactive session explored how small changes in communication can make a significant difference, including using clear and concise language, allowing additional time, offering reassurance, reducing unnecessary noise and avoiding confrontation.

As people living with dementia may come into contact with the police when they are frightened, confused or vulnerable, having a greater understanding of dementia can help officers respond with confidence, compassion and understanding.

We hope this session is the beginning of a strong relationship with Kingston and Surbiton Police, as we continue to work with local organisations and community groups to share knowledge and strengthen support for people living with dementia across the local community.
